Our weekend....
On Friday our homeschool group went to Estuaries Day in Appalachicola. Since Dan has off on Friday's, he got to go along. We had a beautiful day and a lovely hour drive down there!
The Appalachicola Bay...

One of the first activities the kids could do was an obstacle course. They had to take crabs (stuffed ones) from crates and put them in a bucket, catch a fish, rake clam shells (what Danny is doing below), clean up trash, run through a net and back around to the beginning. They got timed. Danny did it on 1 min. 30 sec. Tamara didn't want to try it.

Trying their hand at casting a net. They both did pretty good!

Reptile Bingo

Checking out a snake!

Reptile Roundup game. After all these games they got to pick a free "gift". They got a snake that grew when you put it in water, a tablet, small rubbery lizards, and a few other cool toys!

Holding a Sea Star. We found out that they are trying to get people to call them Sea Stars instead of Starfish since they really aren't fish!

So now you know!

Checking out a Sea Cucumber...

A Flounder trying to hide in the bottom of the tank.
A Puffer fish...I can't think of it's real name!??

Tamara coloring a round paper with a dolphin on it, that was made into a pin for her.

Outside by the Marina....

My favorite people!!!

Friday was also my 31st birthday!

Eric & Yolie invited us over for a yummy supper of chicken, baked potatos and salad...and some awesome cooked bacon with a brown sugar pecan topping!!! YUM!
Sean wanted to show us that he learned how to ride bike without training wheels!

Tamara getting a face bath by Mia

Danny taking Ian for a ride...I think someone is a little big for the trike...but Ian loved it!

Friday night Esther came along with Ruth T. to bring her mother, Glennys S. back to Blountstown. Esther also brought us a puppy!
Introducing.......
Mocha

He is a Boykin Spaniel and is only 3 months old. We are attempting to teach him to be a house dog. We'll see how it goes! Today so far has been perfect...no accidents, knock on wood!

The kids had so much fun with Esther!! She played games with them, taught them their colors in Spanish, quizzed them on Bible knowledge and alot more. They didn't want her to leave....neither did Mocha! LOL!!

Tamara and Mocha have formed quite a bond!

This week we are having revivals with Todd Neuenschwander from IN. So I better go get supper ready so we get ready in time! Dan has mentoring tonight, so he won't be home till late, which means we will go to church without him.
Have a lovely week!
