It has been a while before I have written anything. Life has been extremely busy. Once I thought I can stay in Atl for a while after the project in Boston. Two weeks after I can get out of it, I needed to go to New Jersey and will need to go to Baltimore. It might be a pleasant opportunity to network with clients and accumulate credit points/airline mileage. Maybe I am not as professional as I look, I think it is a waste of time to travel every week, esp. in the summer.

Check out how much I have encountered this week! On Wednesday, my boss and I are supposed to fly to New Jersey on Wednesday at 5:15pm. When we got to the gate around 4pm, we found out the flight has been delayed an hour due to the late arriving flight. An hour was easily past and I finally got on the plane. After 3 hours, the flight is still sitting there on the parking lot. Our flight is not allowed to leave because there is some sort of storm somewhere on the way to New Jersey. I considered myself lucky since I have been upgraded to first class - with a nicer, bigger chair; and constantly served with drinks.

On my way back on Thursday night, the flight arrived 4-5 hours late, b'coz the flight was not allowed to leave Cincinnati for Atlanta. I don't mind the wait in the beginning, but it has been so late already (waiting from 7pm to 11pm). My manager was jumping up and down, worrying about whether the flight would be cancelled. And she's yawning about booking a hotel and staying overnight. Of course, I would prefer going home instead of waking up at 5am the other morning. Luckily, the flight finally arrived, and we got back to Atl around 2am - when nobody was there to take care of the lugguage and the airport train had stopped running.

Despite all these, I am still thankful of the experience, the work opportunity and, knowing how much friends care about me. Thought I cannot handle that much travelling in the near future.

Flying is a nightmare. It would be a great business idea if one can design some sort of air travelling service with certain arrival time. Unfortunately, there would be too much risk due to the weather and the high cost (since you might need to have a sufficient number of backup planes at each location if flights don't make to the destination on time for the connecting flights). I guess, this is why there is such a big logistics idea.

In the training this week, I introduced myself "Fontaine" to several coworkers from other offices. Funny thing is they asked me if my name is "Font" "Tang".

* Highly recommend "Fresh Faith" by Jim Cymbala. It is one of the best books I have read. It vividly describes how David, MoSes and other people are led by faith in the bible. Even God can lead the Israelites in desert for 40 yrs, Jim taught me how to live my life with faith every day.

As a matter of Appreciation

Jason is a person who loves surprises. Even knowing him for over 6 years, it never appears to me J understands romances or creativity at all. Today, it has proven to me I was wrong. He must have watched too many movies.

I got back from Jersey today nice and early. I took MARTA back to office to take my car. After putting my luggage into the truck, I found a bouchet of flowers sitting on the handles of my car. At that time, I was wondering that there may be some mischievous act going on. No cards (from the sender) were sitting anywhere around the car. The flowers were still wet (which means that they are still quite fresh). Yet, nobody (except Jason, who doesn't know where I park my car on the 20-story office parking lot) knows what time I was going to get home. All these clues make it impossible for me to figure out who this sender of.

Without fully understanding what happened, I decided to take the flowers and leave. 5 seconds after I started driving, Jason walked out in the middle of the car. He has been walking all over the 20-floor lot to look for my car. His purpose was to say thank you for helping him over his actuarial exam. How sweet =)

March went by quick, with a lot of visitors. Travelling is crazy. The four-day a week thing seems like it's never ending. It's tough, though, really help me save some gas $$. I really hope I can get some travel breaks before the June long term assignment in Iowa!!

J will be doing his project this weekend. Wow.. I'll be his "consultant"..haha.. Wish him goodluck.

Once I was promised I will not need to come to Boston anymore after end of Feb. Today, the client told me I would be available infinitely. What a surprise! Of course, I am not too happy about this. Well though, I should be happy the client likes me. I just don't want to be stuck in here forever. The big big boss says he is going to negotiate with the project manager - which is more than a political statement. Why would he stop his employee to make bigger bucks for him? I just hope I will not need to move here permanently.

Listened to a very good sermon on line (www.intouch.org) today by Andy Stanley. He talks about submission in christ. He is going to take care of anything for you.
