This past week was Homecoming week. The football game was so much fun! Mesa State beat Ft. Lewis 35-13 I believe was the final score. It was a fun game, and fun week!

Fishy Love!!!

Here is my new roomie!!!

Look what I got this weekend!!! I got a fishy! He is a Betta and they are VERY easy to take care of. The gang and I went to Wal-Mart to do some shopping and everyone decided we wanted a fish. John bought a red Betta and Milton bought two mini sharks. Those guys never stop swimming! Anna is going to buy guppies when she gets her job. But he only cost like $25 for everything. He is pretty cute! I can't think of a name for him so I need some help there.....I have posted some pics so you can see him. I may post a video later....maybe.

If you look closely you'll see he has a pink highlight....at night that highlight glows.

First Football Game at Mesa State!!!

Hey Everyone!

I started college last week and I am having a wonderful time! I am attending Mesa State College in Grand Junction.

Last night was our first football game...We lost 20-23 but it was still fun. It was awesome for once to be on a team that can score....not like Coal Ridge! But those games were fun too. Here are some pics from the game....Enjoy!

Poolside Fun...

Hey everybody!

Today we hung out at the pool and it was so amazing! The sun was warm, the water was cool and the weather was perfect. Here are some pics I took of our day at the pool....Enjoy!!

Last weekend I became a nail painter person...whatever they are called...Mom's toes are the baby pink, Paige's are the blue and mine are the magenta. I hand painted the flowers with a very special tool called a TOOTHPICK!

The week before that Anna came over and we took some pics in my yard. I think this one is my fav.

GRADUATION!!!

OK, I know it has been like FOREVER since I have even been to this site but I thought I would start again.

So, what's new?? Well, I am now a high school graduate!! It is a wierd feeling...I dont' really know what to do with myself.

I now work at the Colorado Candy Kitchen...I make a living off of making chocolates and packaging them...and getting fat off of them! I am just joking...I acually don't eat that much of it. It gets old.

We went up to Rifle Falls the other day and I have some beautiful landscape pics of the falls. They are BEAUTIFUL!! Enjoy!

Here are the beautiful Rifle Falls. The run-off this year has been crazy/!The water is so high and it is gushing out at the top...They are truly gorgeous right now.

Another shot of the falls....I hiked to the top of them too!!

There are many caves to explore up there too...As you can see, I was doing my share of cave exploring. In one cave I found bats!!! YIKES!!

Hi everyone!

This is my FAVORITE Christmas song so I thought I would put these lyrics on...

I have been SO busy but here are some pics from our Christmas decorating....Our tree is 9 feet tall and VERY WIDE....It took awhile to get is set up this year....

I had to stand on the ladder and hang all the tall ornaments. As you can see even on the ladder the tree is still taller than me!

Paige is standing on a barstool and she put the last part of the tree on. She is a bit taller than me...okay she is significantly taller than me....

Here is the base of the tree before anyother piece got put on. This is more like my level! JK!

I will have to get a picture of the final product...it is so pretty! I will also have to show you my tree in my room. I love it so much!

Coffee House

This is my recorded solo from our Coffee House concert that was a couple weeks ago. I had so much fun singing if front of that many people! I realized that I really enjoyed performing and I am looking forward to the next concert that I can sing a solo at. Paige and I also sang a duet together and I believe that it is posted on her blog. The song I sang was called The Lass From the Low Countree.

Disneyland, Fall Vocal Clinic and All State Auditions! Oh My!

A lot has happened since I updated last. First off I had All-State Honor Choir auditions a while ago. This is an Honor Choir based in Colorado. It is the toughest choir to audition into. It was stressful but a lot of fun. I sang a song called "The Lass From the Low Countree" a sad love song about a poor girl in love with a rich man. He never knew she loved him and she dies in the end and no one knew she loved him but herself and God. It is sad but a very pretty song. I feel really good about my audition....the judge said that he was very impressed when I was finished so that was a plus! Especially since they don't say anything in the first place!!

The whole group after we finished our auditions. Look at all the smiles! I am sure we will have plenty of Coal Ridge Representitives in the spring at All State!! Bottom Row: Me, Tracy, Leannna, Bryana Back Row: Ben, Josh (aka: Jumbo), Tyler and Milton.

Second thing that happened was Fall Vocal Clinic. This is an event that takes place every fall at Moffat County High School in Craig, Colorado. (about an hour and a half bus drive). The whole choir goes to this event along with many other high schools on the Western Slope. All these high school choirs join together to form a 150-250 some choir and follow one director who is highly esteemed state-wide and even nation-wide. We practice these songs all day and then that night there is a concert. It is a fun event. Full of learning, singing, fun and work. We always have a great time as a choir attending this event.

Both concert choir and Varsity Choir combined for a group picture. I am really hard to see....but I am towards the back on the right hand/middle. There are two tall boys behind me and girls kneeling in front of me. A blond haired girl is standing next to me. Can you find me?

Finally, my family and I went to Disneyland this past weekend. It was so much fun and memorable. I am certainly not ready to be back in cold Colorado after balmy California! We drove to Anaheim on Wednesday and arrived home Sunday evening. It was quite a long, windy haul but we made it safe and sound. We saw many characters at Disneyland including: Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Baloo, Timon, Aladdin, Jasmine, Aurora, Mulan, Cinderella, Rafiki, Woody, Pocahontas, Captain Hook, Wicked Queen from Snow White, and a few others. I rode many of the rides....even California Screamin' Coaster and Hollywood's Tower of Terror. Both rides are in Disney's California Adventure Park. Never again will I ride the Tower of Terror. If you like death drop rides then this one is for you. I don't care for the sudden drops and ups and downs. Half the time I didnt' know if we were going up or down! All I knew is that I wanted off. Anyways, we all had a great time at the park...despite the heat and the crowds and our aching feet. We had a great time.

Waiting in line for the first ride....Dumbo the Flying Elephant. The sun was really bright. Haley and Cara loved this ride!

The famous Matterhorn Boblsed rollercoaster ride. I rode it but I think I may have caused Paige to become deaf in one hear from my screaming and I think I nearly squeezed her guts out. Sorry Paige!
