  • Have you ever had one of your kids be facinated with something weird??  I've had my girls want to fix my hair...put make-up on me... put earings in my ears and jewlry.....paint my toenails.....give me full blown facials with cucumbers and take my picture when I had my eyes closed...tease my hair in this major rats nest and put that picture on facebook..(Uggg!!)  .even shave my legs with Dad's electric razor.  (My legs are always in need!! haha)  We'll.....I now have a child...(Victoria) that loves to pluck.  As soon as I sit down....she starts staring....at my  eyebrows...chin...nose.. pushing and pulling my face back and forth on her search for unwanted hairs.....legs....and now...arm pits.  OUCH!!!    She runs and gets the hair pluckers and goes at it.  This 4 years old daughter of mine looks at me with this cute little voice as if talking to a baby or a doggy and says..."It's not gonna hurttttttt."  Then...."OUCH!!!"  I say... and she says again in that baby voice...."It doesn't hurttttt."  And I'm like..."Wanna bet??? .Then let me pluck your hairs!!!  I'm like..."don't you want to brush my hair or something less painful ?"  She doesn't do it fast....she does is sloooooowwww and pulls the whole root out!!!   OUCH!!!!!   Then....when she can't find anymore hairs that appeal to her...she asks if she can pluck my arm hairs or my eyelashes.   O.K. now  she's gone off the deep end!!  I'm like,"Child......go find something less painful to entertain yourself!!"  Then...Madeline wants to start in on the plucking!!!. WHY DO THEY WANT TO GO FOR MY ARM PIT HAIRS?????  (I guess if I had them freshly shaved they wouldn't be tempted. HA!  ) MAN.......THAT HURTS!!!  ESPECIALLY ON THE KNEES!!!  MY LEG JURKS FROM THE NERVES!!!

My grandmother didn't have a hair on her legs and she told me she plucked all the hairs out of her legs.  But...I'm thinking..."Granma....I don't have your pain tolerance!!!"  My granma had the most beautiful legs ever!!!  She was always dressed up and beautiful!!!  She would wear 3 inch heals to go to the grocery store!!!  Her arches were amazing!!!  My feet hurt just seeing her feet in flat sandles.  ahahha.  She would go to the Senior Citizens and dance up a storm in those heals and slip tracks in those flirty O' mens pockets.  hahahaha  How did I get off on my granma?????  With every pluck...I thought of my granma and remembered of the price she paid for her beauty!!  OUCH!!!  So....a word of advice if you have a daughter that is hairpluckin crazy......HIDE THE TWEEZERS!!!!  Oh but then...Victoria couldn't find any tweezers....and guess what she got instead???????  THE FINGER NAIL CLIPPERS.....WHEN I WASN'T WATCHING!!!!!  WOOOOOO MAMMA!!!!!  I THINK SHE CUT INTO MY SKIN!!!!!  Yeeeooooozzzzzaaaaa!!!!!  NOW THAT HURT!!!!  WHATS NEXT???? THE BUTCHER NIFE???  Nope...got those hidden.  I better go and hide the scissors!!!  ahahahhahah

  • Has anyone seen "College Road Trip"?  I just did and it was sooo great and horrible at the same time!!  GREAT.... in that it was sooo hilareous and clean..but....BAD....in that it had me going from  tears....to... almost. bawling!!  The daddy/daughter relationship and the process of letting go brought back tough memories.  It's soo sweet and terrible at the same time.  I can soo relate!!!  It's a wonderful movie if you haven't seen it.  We got it at the McDonald's red box  which it was soo cheap!!  It was well worth $1.  We watched it twice and I think I cried more the second time than the first!! During the movie I was thinking  about  how thankful that I was to have daughters that I would miss living with us because of how special they are.  Some parents are ready for their kids to move out and glad to ship them off to college.  I could have kept mine forever!!  Tear............ see what I mean?????  Bad movie!!!!  Bad...Bad...movie!!!  Wonderful movie....!  :)

    I miss my girls!!!!

  • Happy Birthday to me...Happy Birthday to me.....I'm now in my 40's...da da da da da da!

I've had a great day.  It started off with breakfast in bed from Christian. (He's 8)  He's soo cute.  All yesterday he kept saying..."All mom's and dad's get breakfast in bed when they have a birthday."  He told me what he was going to fix me.  So...this a.m.  I heard cabinet doors shutting....drawers closing....knives clanging... so I jumped out of bed...did my morning ritual and jumped back in bed.   After a bit....in came my son with two paper plates with my "breakfast in bed" saying "Get up Momma....it's your Breakfast in Bed" "Happy Birthday!! I snuck in the kitchen and made you breakfast!!".  ahahha  On one plate was 1/2 of a raisen/cinnamon bagel since he said the other half broke....and the other plate had 2 peices of toast with peanut butter and cinnamon on it..  No sugar.  So...he went back for the sugar and came back with sugar on his shoulder and face.  Some how the cinnamon dissapeared and my toast became white.   ahahah  Oh...and a big jug of tea.   And stood there watching me eat every crunchy bite!!  It was awesome!!!  He told me that he would have made me eggs...but that he needed an adult and Madeline wouldn't help him since he already told me what he was up to.  Sooo cute!!

Then....after that sugar rush....I hopped out of bed....and went to the grocery store since it was pay day!!  Yea!!!  Then...came back home....then went back out for a much needed haircut.  Got back home....cleaned house and Summer was soon to come and start cooking my Birthday dinner of her specialty......spagetti.  Yummm!!  It was awesome!!  She put everything but the kitchen sink in that stuff and it was amazing!!!  Caleb got up here after Summer.   My mom and some of my siblings came, too.   Donna, Dianne and her hubby and Jordan (her daughter), Linda and two of her girls,(Morgan and Brooklyn), my bro. Eddie and Tamera and my famous nephew..Cale...that was on t.v all came.....yea Cale..(He just flew in from California for a wedding,)I felt blessed having them out.

Ken had Caleb paint me the picture "stones" (A pic of Mary Mag. when she was about to get stoned and Jesus reaching down to comfort her)  and we had fun hanging it and rearranging the living room for it.  Ofcoarse it made me cry and I looked over at Mom and she was weepy too.  Those painting are soo special... from the hand that painted it..to the one who picked out the colors..to the ONE who inspired it....to the one who knows my heart enough to get it for me for my birthday...my hubby.  Tear....

It was awesome sitting around talking.....and getting to have girl talk with Summer and playing with her hair and making her sleepy.like ol times.ahhaha.  Seeing her earilier in the kitchen cooking...awe....brought back some great memories of her cooking supper in my kitchen almost every night.  It was an awesome birthday!!!  Great food...great fellowship...great gifts!!!  I felt very loved!!!!  I couldn't be happier!!!
