You are part Jasmine. You are loyal and would visit the ends of the
earth for what you believe. You would never let obstacles stand in the
way of true love. | |
You are part Ariel. You are beautiful but impaired. At times you are
naïve. Still, your innocence and good heart make you sought after and
loved. |

| listening to the sound of rolling thunderWhy do I live my life as if without consequence, only to find Consequence repeatedly knocking on my door? I prepare my soldiers when the battle is already half-lost, submitting myself to this never-lifting haze. I fear that I will wake up to find it's too late. | | |

I need to drop one of the history courses because I don't think I can handle all 6 classes. Which should I drop, History of the Cold War, American Rise to Global Power, or Chinatown USA? Let me list pros and cons of each!
History of the Cold War: stellar professor (FOGLESONG!) who I love and adore and I might be taking it with a friend, but it's a Friday class and I wanted to have Fridays off American Rise to Global Power: professor (ADAS) is top-notch in our top-notch history department, but it's a Douglass class Chinatown USA: professor got good reviews (WU) and my friend is in it and it may be the easiest of the 3, but it's on Douglass
Or should I rethink my schedule and take a Russian history class? Because so far I only have US history courses, and if I want to double in history, I need courses from other disciplines. But that is not really relevant is it, since I have many more years..?

| Time is a terrifying thing. Because here on earth, it goes just one way. Humans can't slow it down or make it stop. We can't turn it back, can't see it, can't touch it, can't hurt it. It just goes on, mercilessly, or mercifully. I turned 19 yesterday, and I know some say age is just a number, but I don't think it is. Your age tells you how many years you have spent on this earth, how many years you've been given thus far. It determines how many hours you have spent sleeping, how many eating, how many talking. How much time you have spent with others, how much time loving, or doing good. How have you used your years? How much time, exactly, have you wasted? How many lives have you touched, or tried to save? How many moments walking with God?
Time has long been an enemy to Man because when it comes to Time, there are no second chances. Think about it, when did Time enter the world? When did it start to count our days, hours, and minutes? I'd say that it's the offspring of Death, its curse. But I think death also defeats time, in a way. Does time exist after death? Well, yes, but eternity is eternal, after all.
Back on topic: is Time really something to be afraid of? A lot of people have been scared of it and tried to defeat it; that's how all the Fountain of Youth and time machine stuff was born. But we can look at it as a blessing as well as a curse. Though our lives are really just moments, they can be counted as forever. One moment of Life is counted as seven, metaphorically speaking. Because time is not the same everywhere; just ask Einstein. We experience time as it goes by in the 1st heaven, but what about time in the 2nd? And 3rd? We are blessed, really blessed, that Time for God is not the same Time that we experience here on earth. We are blessed, really blessed, that God is loving.
So, how many lives have you touched, or tried to save? How many moments walking with God? Because here on earth, it goes just one way, and there are no second chances.
Here's to one who understood the importance of time and tried to make the most of it.
