This week has been great. The kids are amazing. This one girl just stuck to me like a leach and she is so sweet. Her name is Maeve

Lots happen this week. Saturday evening I had off so I had lots of time with Michelle. Sunday I went into the clubhouse with all the intentions of forgetting about last week and get into the game with everything I have. I loved each moment of Sunday. There was a wedding proposal and acceptance with lots of people present. Swam the fastest time since I got here and the fastest bike time (no punctures, I should say). Pat absolutely ripped the running track apart and we had the fastest time or the Duck man triathlon. I have Friday and Saturday off and no cleanup the whole week and next week. Caught up with John McClane in the Die Hard movies cos we going to see the 4th one o Friday. Michelle is also off that day.

Today Maeve brought me a little scrap book of all the things we did the whole week. All the pictures she made herself. It’s so cute of her. I’m going to miss her tomorrow. Oh well….

So in a nutshell the Lord has blessed me with a great week and I have enjoyed it tremendously. Looking fwd to next week. It’s with the pooping junior midgets. Cleaning diapers is going to be the order of the day. Looking fwd to it.

Hey. Gosh it’s been a while since I’ve been on this xanga site. Been wondering if it still remembers me. Suffice to say a lot has happened since the last blog. Where do I begin? The beginning of course which is actually the middle but u know what I mean.

So the 5months waiting to see Michelle was horrible but it made seeing her and being with her all the more fun and appreciative. I worked at a little school in a 4th grade class. The kids had no idea the torture I was going to inflict n them. Work upon work upon work. This means work upon work for me. Besides that I had to break in new teacher in the grade. Leticia is a college friend and the poor girl was a wreck. She panicked around every turn: from the school work, to the kids not listening or fighting to the terminologies she don’t know and have to repeat. It was fun teasing her and making her laugh when she about to jump off the handle. She cried when I told her I was leaving and se had t lead the grade 4 work loads. She actually begged me not to leave. Sadly I had to disappoint her.

So I work my butt off. And then I had to leave the country of birth to go to Michelle. Please people don’t read anything into that. Cos she be going back to South Africa Good thing that British airways allowed me to bring my bike over for free. Really good to have it here. Although I have to buy new tyres. Bike is not really camp friendly, just good for the road. Fixed many flats and ran out of patch and henceforth I have to buy new tyres. I don’t mind.

The plane trip was boring. I was a bit worried at the beginning of the trip cos my local flight to Johannesburg International was delayed for 4 hours. I was worried that I would miss the plane to London. Thankfully I always make allowances for that and made sure I get an early flight and rather wit 6-7 hours at the International airport than miss the flight. Apparently a light in the cabin didn’t want to go out so they had to fly in a technician to fix it. That’s my explanation. So I land in the states after 20 hours and very few minutes of sleep, very few. We had great time in Bradford after we got lost finding our way to Bradford, PA. Once again it was my fault. Good thing Michelle ha the patience of Job with me

So I did something I always wanted to do: take part in a triathlon. Never imagined it would be here in the states. Now before you get any weird thoughts, it’s not a big event. The Tyler Place has this event each Wednesday. Purely for the fun of it. And fun it is. Although in the first week ruptured a tyre and had to run the last 1.5 miles and then tag Pat to do he actual running. We made good time. The second I swam in rough conditions and I struggled to the extent that I had to be rescued from Davie Jones’s locker. Seriously it was scary. Never saw my life flash past me but scary it really was. Afterwards when I partially recovered I finished the cycling in good time. Looking fwd to this weeks cos the water should be calmer and I think I’ll do much better is time. Pat is a good runner and has the quickest time for the summer. I got the quickest bike time last week.

So now it’s the third week.  Camp Neosa hasn’t even started and we already way ahead.  We thinking of going back to Neosa next year but we JUST THINKING.

The majesty of God in Cape Town

this is what is seen if you cycle up, over and around Table Mountain on the last day of 2006. His Great and timeless awesomeness. Although my legs, back and to a greater degree my butt argued with my decision to go on this trip it filled me with a hope and peace that no one else can take away. The peace in knowing God has ,is and always be in control and nothing but the best He wants to give us
