I wish I had a digital camera right about now. I'd like to be able to share cool pictures with you all, instead of always just having to look at other people's pics. I'd even do the popular mirror-shot. The main reason for the delay in getting a camera is that there are literally hundreds of thousands to choose from, with millions of combinations of features. We're not too concerned about megapixels...3 should suffice. Its mostly the type of memory, optical zoom, and LCD size.

Suggestions, anyone?

Just when I thought I was getting better, I go into a relapse. Majorly sick right now. Don't know what's going on. Need prayers for God's mercy, thanks so much!

Good news this week is that the band thing may finally happen. I'm going to be jamming with Josh Bishop and his friend Tyler. I really think God is finally allowing it to happen. I say that because we would be practicing Thursday evenings. Until now, that would have conflicted with my work schedule. But I just found out today that one of our distributors is going to be coming on Wednesday nights now. This means that Good Foods would probably need help Thursday mornings getting the products unpacked and stocked. Which means I would probably be working 10-4. We'd be practicing after 5. The situation as it stands now is just perfect.

I think I'm going to be one of those elderly people who, when I retire, needs to move to a warmer climate for my health  Speaking of health...

Good Foods Grocery is going to be facing some stiff competition soon. Two new health food stores are coming to town. Fresh Foods is setting up shop on Parham Road, which isn't far from our other store at Gayton Crossing. Whole Foods is coming to Broad Street. Its going to get very interesting. Hopefully it will mean lower prices on the health food stuff. Now onto politics....

I'm considering backing Senator John McCain for president. Not only am I increasingly in agreement with his views, particularly on government reform and spending, but I believe he is very elect-able. Lets be honest...most of the country is not far to the left or far to the right. Most Americans want a centrist, a moderate who isn't a complete ideologue, who can make both parties sit down at the table and find common ground to get things done. This is NOT to say that I oppose Senator Allen. He is one of my favorite Republicans in the Senate, and I will certainly support his re-election bid. However, I believe that he would be too polarizing and divisive. He has the right ideas about a lot of issues, but I don't think the American people (or Congress for that matter) are ready for an abupt shift to the right. Change must be gradual, particularly after this year's Republican scandals. I believe that McCain is the right guy to make the case that the voters can trust the Republican Party again.

Can't say that much is going on in my life right now. Just working and...taking it easy. The wild temperature swings have been impeding my recovery, though I must say I have been sleeping very well lately. Even better than before I was sick. It used to take me 30-45 minutes to go into "deep sleep" and now it only takes me 15 minutes tops. So, at least there's some improvement.

Really can't wait for spring and summer. So many plans. Hopefully I can head up to Grove City and visit with Glen sometime soon. I'm also in the preliminary stages of planning the next road trip. The mountains are calling!
