This episode they were following the NYPD. These were their calls to duty:

call for Domestic Disturbance:
5-6 cops show up in an apartment on the third floor. The cop with the
camera man, short of breath from walking 3 floors of stairs, is greeted
by other cops already on scene, and is told by the apartment dwellers,
pointing to a closed door "we locked him in there. we didn't want him
trying to run out. we don't know what to do now"
It's then revealed to us that there is a rat in the bathroom
Then one cop says to the other, "They said they don't care what it takes just get it rid of it"

So the 5-6 cops there, racking their brains, decide to take an axe to
the door, and destroy it by chopping out a hole in the middle of it,
thru which they can survey the situation in the bathroom (a rat running
around). They then reach thru the hole in the door with a stick with a
loop of rope at the end of it (used for noosing crocodiles, wild dogs,
tigers, and other large game), to try to poke(?) at the rat. Because
for damn sure, they weren't gonna CATCH a fast lil rat with a stick and
a rope.
Afterwards, they smarten up and decide to press a foot high wire
barrier against the door frame while they open the door to prevent the
rat from escaping. Then it was a you-had-to-be-there moment, when the
cop pulls out a gun and tries to aim it at a fast running rat from
outside the door. The next shot was of a cop standing on top of a
toilet, trying to shoot down at the rat. only then was i sure that it
really was a tranquilizer gun and not a 9mm.

Call 2: Public Assistance
The camera man goes into another apartment where 5 cops were present,
along with another form of wildlife. This time a bat. The weapon of
choice this time? A paper bag. They were gonna catch a flying bat...
with a paper bag. Then a cop suggests blasting it with CO2
claiming that it will drop down unconscious... as if it was chloroform.
The obvious result? Yes, the bat takes off the moment they spray the
CO2 and proceeds to fly around the apartment. As the camera chases the
bat around, we see the main cop, flail helplessly trying to catch the
bat in the paper bag, and we also get a glimpse of the backup cops
behind the main one.... another you-had-to-be-there moment, where one
had a tennis racket in hand, in ready stance, and another behind him
with a baseball bat. beautiful.

the camera cuts, and we see they finally get the bat trapped under a
blanket on the sofa, where they proceed to try to squeeze the bat out,
instead of just tying up the blanket and releasing it out the window.
Through unnecessary effort, they finally get the bat to the edge of the
blanket, where the cop grabs it by his hand, and releases it in the
middle of the street, and exclaims "we just released the bat. it's
probably going to fly into another window in 10 minutes and we'll be
back into another apartment to get it out."

The NYPD at their best....
one that stands out the most is when you fell asleep under the desk in
physics last year..."

"...And then there's AP Art History where you slept in a diff. place everyday..."
-written in my high school yearbook

so
the other day, walkin along upper manhattan, we ran into some
familiar faces. 5 of em, and so we did the, "hey watsup, how u doing,
so where u going to school now? blah blah blah" the
useless-don't-really-give-a-shit-cuz-i-never-talked-to-you-in-my-6-years-of-high-
school-but-just-for-the-sake-of-bumping-into-you
bullshit, and i realized i didn't remember what the names of 4 of them
were. hence, glancing through the yearbook now.

and i realize now that, wow. my school had so many good looking girls.
too bad knowing their personalities fucked it up for many of them. and also what 3 years of college can do to some.

hahaha high school, when it wasn't bad, it wasn't good either......nope, it was awesome. too bad it was bad too often
