| Wow, it's been a while, Xanga.
I looked through the first few pages of my "Subscriptions" and saw that most people do still use Xanga...and of course, I got sad at the thought of all the entries I probably missed out on reading. But then again, for some people, I shouldn't be getting updates on their lives via a public weblog, I guess. Bah, regardless, my apologies for not reading your Xangas, people.
I don't know why I update this from time to time. I think it's really boredom. I'm back home on Long Island for a couple of days, which means for a couple of days, I will be terribly bored. But don't expect more updates in these few days, ha.
Um. So. Semester is over and I had a very academically successful one, an emotionally [& physically] exhausting one, and thus a spiritually trying one [in my case].
"I lift up my eyes to the hills— where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD watches over you— the LORD is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore."

| I'd like to announce that the salutatorian of my high school was ACTUALLY Dwight Schrute.
"Well, I was the salutatorian of my high school. That makes me a local celebrity. I was part of the New York State Bowling Championship team, who won the New York State Championship. That kind of makes me a state celebrity. And I'm an Eagle Scout. You know what, maybe they should just roll the red carpet out for me wherever I go. That would make more sense."
Awesomeness.
Uh, so Long Island anyone?
| We sang this song in Peru, which Edinson translated for us, called "Poco a Poco." When Evangel taught it to me to lead the VBS praise time, she told me it was a popular children's song in the states...she sang it but I said I never heard of it.
So ever since Our Lady Peace's song "Thief" came out in 1999, I've been listening to it. It's one of my favorites. I generally ignore the end, with the faded background of children singing...but just now, I heard the song the kids faintly sing at the end, and it's the English version of "Poco a Poco"! So I guess I have heard it before.
Okay, I just wanted to share with someone my discovery and relay how excited I am right now because of it.
| Girl: But what's your definition of cry? Do guys just tear or do they really full out cry? I feel like guys don't really cry hard usually. Guy: Not true. There are guys who really go all out, weep and all. Girl: Really? Guy: Yeah...how can you not weep when you hear the gospel?
I agree. | | |
