| | Well, it sure has been awhile. A lot has happened since February. I've learned a lot about who I am and a lot about other people. Also, it's summer and I'm really bored. I recently learned a very important lesson. The lesson I learned is this: Cherish your friendships. I know it sounds stupid, because we're young, but you never know when a friend could be taken from you. This is perhaps even worse than loosing a grandparent, because you usually never see it coming when it's someone so young. Be careful in your cars. I don't think we realize that cars are huge, heavy hunks of metal that are capable of moving at high speeds. We aren't invincible, and we aren't immortal. Every time you get behind the wheel of a car, realize that it has the potential of taking lives. This isn't meant to scare anyone or anything, but it's important to know that your actions can have severe consequences. When you think about it, our lives aren't really all that long. We get 75 to 80 short years on this planet. Compared to the rest of time, that's nothing. So make the most of it, but also be careful. I'm not saying live your life in a bubble, but be responsible. I have nothing against a good time, but be aware of your actions and the possible outcomes and ramifications of certain choices. On a much lighter note...me and my dear friend MKP learned a few lessons this year as well. The first we learned is how to get a tow truck. You see...my car's brakes broke back in May, either right before or right after finals. We got them fixed, but, still...Another thing we learned is what to do if your identity has been stolen. That's right folks...my identity kind of got stolen. "Kind of? How do you 'kind of' get your identity stolen?" Well, turns out someone had been using my drivers license number to write bad checks. Luckily, they hadn't opened any other accounts, but still. It was scary. Other than that, my life has been pretty uneventful. I've just been busy with summer classes and whatnot. But, we have a weeks break between terms, so, here I am. Sitting at home, bored out of my mind. Oh, I almost forgot...I got a chance to see an advanced screening of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phenoix thanks to MySpace. Not only did I see it two weeks early, but I also saw it for free. But I can't wait to see it again in two weeks. I also can't wait for the book! That's all for now. I hope you've enjoyed this most random post. |
