The Las Vegas Edition...

So this past Sunday, I left for Las Vegas with my brother Ben and then came back to reality yesterday evening.  My other two brothers were suppose to go as well, but for whatever reason at the last minute they couldnt find a cheap package.  Anways on to one of the  most incredible time of my life thus far...

Sunday:

After a 3hr plane ride in the exit row, which I higly recommend when flying coach, a lot of leg room...I walk into an airport filled with excitement and gambling, a lot nicer than O'hare!  Getting a picture of the strip flying into Vegas would have been awesome, but I didnt have a window seat and the guy sitting there was sleepy and grumpy so I didnt want to bother him.  We took a cab to our hotel Ballys Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, one of the older hotels...but you would not think that walking into it and around it, just gorgeous inside!  After unpacking and cleaning up, we headed downstairs to the casino, I immediately sat down at a roulette table with my brother where beautiful waitresses bring you free drinks all night.  We then went next door to the Paris hotel....ok, I havent been to Paris, but just by the look and experience you have in this hotel...I cant imagine what the real deal is like....its unreal there, total different world.  We capped off the night by going to Freemont St, its the older original part of vegas, where Frank Sinatra and the mob hung out back in the day...everything there is generally cheaper too.  After my first night in Vegas, I quickly learned that you can go and do WHATEVER you want, and they dont care...I was never once told I couldnt be in a particular "private area" or couldnt do something.

Monday:

Woke up around 10am, we dedicated today to walking up and down the stip visiting various hotels.  We went to the Bellagio hotel first, I know its going to sound like I am repeating myself, but it really is hard to describe the size and look of these giants.  Inside each hotel there is a certain theme to it, and this one of course by its name has an Italian theme, and it really has the look and feel as if you were in a palace.  There are various restaurants and shopping malls through out the hotel, but the coolest thing I saw was this HUGE attrium that had a theme of Fall flowers, trees, and other natural wildlife in it...beautiful...you were able to smell all of the flowers hundreds of feet away.  On the way down the strip, we stopped at Monte Carlo, New York-New York, Excalibur, Luxur, and then crossed the street to MGM Grand.  On the way back to our hotel we stopped at the Luxor breakfast buffet.  Ok so the buffets at these hotels are well incredible...the food is delicious, the buffets are gigantic, and the price is only $15 and it fills you up all day.  I went searching for a low, no-limit poker game, and I found one..sat down with $40 and walked out 45min later with $170...they were rookies.  We walked A LOT that afternoon so we went back to our hotel and hung out in the Sports Book, where we split a couple buckets of beer and watched Monday Night Football.  My brother had bought me tickets to this show Fantasy back at the Luxor hotel, so we took the mono-rail there...and yes these women were topless and gorgeous!  I went back to the poker table after the show, my brother went back to the hotel, and I ended up sitting there for close to 4 hours...and ended up winning another $250.  I totally got lost on the way back to the hotel that night, not really outside on the stip, just in the hotel casinos...theyre big like that!

Tuesday:

After a few too many Jack and Cokes at the poker table the night before, I woke up with a headache, but not really hung over.  After everyone talking up the Mandalay Bay buffet thus far, we decided we had to try this buffet, so we got there around noon.  This had to be the best food I have ever eaten in my entire life.  The ribs, the chicken, the mashed potatoes, the vegetable, the meatballs(wow!), even the fruit and the salads were out of this world!  All the food was soo good, I was even willing to try various sea foods...incredible!  We litterally sat there for a couple hours eating.  We walked around that hotel for awhile then, when I say walk around a hotel...its not like were walking up and down the hallways of rooms like you would at a normal hotel...its like your walking around a mini-city inside...stores, restaurants, bars, clubs, everything, everywhere.  I found it very convenient that there were at least 2 starbucks in each hotel.  We walked over to the shark reef, where I bought my neice souveniers.  We walked back to the hotel and then laid by the pool for a couple of hours, it really was great soaking in some sun and drinking long island ice teas!  After that we then put on our snazzy clothes and took the shuttle to the Rio hotel.  Met a couple of cute girls on the shuttle on the way there, too bad they were going to see the Chipendales.  Ok so this hotel was probably my favorite of all of them that I saw, this hotel was just awesome.  Stages came out of the ground in the casino where they had shows, they had huge floats flying around in the ceiling with people dancing on them.  The best part was the Voodoo club and lounge on the top deck of the casino, My jaw dropped when I walked out of the elevator and then outside, it was the most amazing site and experience.  The place had bars everywhere, really comfortable couches and chairs with candles and really dim cool lighting, and the people there were soo classy wearing nice dresses and what seemed like James Bond gear.  I had bought a cigar down on the Casino floor, because I thought it would be a good idea to celebrate my winnings for the week.  They treated me like a king there, it was unreal and weird at the same time...they lit my cigar, brought me drinks, and even washed my hands...it was crazy!  After about 7 Jack and Cokes and a couple Coronas, we went back to the hotel and crashed.

Wednesday:

We woke up at 6am, because we had what we thought was a 9:57am flight back to Chicago and we wanted to get a breakfast buffet before we left.  We stopped at the Bally's buffet, and the food was yet again amazing!...I think I personally enjoyed my ham, green pepper, onion, and cheese omlette the best!  We checked out and then took a cab to the airport, where we sat for an additional hour and a half, because there were "thunderstorms" in Chicago, according to my resources there was nothing.  The flight back was nice, got another exit row seat, but this time by the window.  I watched The Break Up and starred out the window a lot.

Overall, I had(with the lack of a better word) an INCREDIBLE!!! time.  I dont think I could live there though, its nice to go there and indulge yourself in whatever you want, but that lifestyle and pressure would get to me.  I chose to gamble, drink booze, hang out with ladies, and relax.  They have anything for anyone, so you can really make whatever you want out of it when you go there.  I know people that go there simply to relax by the pool or to take tours through the desert, mountains, grand canyon, or the hoover dam.  I think my favorite hotels in this order were Rio, Mandalay Bay, and Luxor.  I didnt get to see the Venetian, Hard Rock, Caesars Palace, Wynn, Palms, Treasure Island, and other ones.  The coolest part was hanging out with Ben, I really got a better understanding of how much alike we are, and seeing what he has done and not done, really makes my decisions in life a lot easier.

I missed you, and I want to take everyone there so they can just experience what I did.

Yea, I'm updating...its weird I know...its been like 20 some days, but I thought I would document my birthday happenings the past few days.

Let me start off with this first...my new job, I started it last week Saturday.  Its ok, kinda eehhh, but the management group seems pretty cool and so do the people in my department.  I guess working in a store now you get a better sense of what Corporations are actually about, and I don't like it....I see right through it.  They are already starting to love me, because I told them I want to do hardware repairs at the store instead of sending the computers out to service, that saves them $$$$$.

Ok enough of the boring crap, that I hate talking about...here is my 21st Birthday breakdown...

Monday: I wanted to do some hanging out, well because I had nothing going on a Tuesday morning, and that was a first in about a year.  This night I was the girl, and Rosey was the guy(not literally).  I got an awesome present, cant wait to use it, we got starbucks, granny sang Happy Birthday to me, and then we went and saw a movie(granny didn't go).  When we got out of the movie, it was past midnight, and it was weird because I was officially 21...it was awesome, but weird at the same time.....Overall just AWESOME!

Tuesday(my actual Birthday):  I went to Frankly Yours with Mike and Rosey, I drank a pitcher of Leinenkugel  Red...I didn't realize that their pitcher was about 12 beers...so I had to slam them in like 45min, so Rosey could be to work on time.  Best part was...

Hey Bob did you wanna see my ID?  "Yea, I should probably look at that, huh? haha"  "Haha, well actually it doesn't even matter, because I cant read it.  I trust ya, Greg!"

Funny thing is, I really wasn't even drunk...I had a buzz, and was definitely in a state that shouldn't be driving, but ive been way worse.  Hung out with Mike and Mattr on my porch for a good part of the day.  Family ordered some Giordano's Pizza, love that stuff!  I also got some awesome new clothes, I so needed them...I am sick of wearing my usuals.  After all that, I went and hung out with Mike  and Mattr again...we bullshitted....loved it!

Wednesday:  After work and school, I called up Mike because I knew he wanted to hang out.  I was like hey wanna go to NIU and hang out with the dudes?....he was like "oh shit, are you serious dude, its a wednesday night, you're crazy!"  So we went...picked up a 12pk on the way, and did exactly that...hung out for a few hours before we came back home around 2am.  Mike got drunk off of 2 beers, he should probably stick with his other hobby.  I only had like 3, and left the rest for the Rafferty's to drink in the morning for breakfast.  Love random drives to colleges, I need to do that more often.

And now for Borat Sagdiyev from Kazakhstan...

bahahahahahahahhaahhaha!!!!

Well that was my 21st Birthday happenings, its not really going to end until next week sometime though...because tomorrow night I am going out to some bars with my brothers and then of course VEGAS! next week.  Wow I think I need to turn 21 more often.

I thank every single person that contributed to this awesomeness, I love you all, and I would give you all big kisses....but that might be weird for some.

This is my last blog for awhile, I am just tired of it.  I have better things to do and think about.  If you really really want to know whats going on with me, find me and then maybe I will tell you.

My job is driving me nuts, not the actual work part of it....but the part where every day there is some new job they found for us that we have the opportunity to get.  I continue to dive at each one of them, get the job, and then the next day I find out there is a more suitable job available to me.  Louisville is looking better and better.  My daily schedule of work 600am-230pm,330pm, or 430pm and then homework and then class 600pm-900pm is driving me nuts, buts its beneficial and helping me succeed.  I have been concentrating on eating healthier lately, and suprisingly I have seen and noticed results...now if I can just find time to put together a work out routine.  Somethings that I need to understand...evaluating my priorities, maturity, dedication, lies, self-control, excuses, people(friends and family), caring too much for people that dont care that you care, my future with school, my job, and well I guess just life.

Goodnight

Good-bye

I will come back a better person, I promise.

So over the past couple of weeks I have been contemplating deleting all of my online community accounts.  They are getting kind of lame.  Xanga can easily be substituted by www.gregjschneider.net, myspace is just immature and a bad addiction, and well now facebook is just creepy.  Whats sad is I will probably lose friends by doing this...hahahahahahaha, I know funny right...but who wants those kind of friends anyways?

The thing is though I have done it in the past and I came back a couple months later, maybe Ill just lock myself out...have someone change my password and have them not tell me or something.

I found a stick of 512mb RAM for my iBook, i'm gonna go install that now!
