Oodles (n. a large quantity)I have successfully made both of my children quilts. I will post pics later.
Here is the top fabric for both quilts (my friend, Kathy, gave it to me, and I knew I would use it for the kids):

Here is Sam's quilt with a green flannel backing. I tied his with yarn and wasn't too happy with how it turned out (sorry for the blurry pic).

Here is Maryn's quilt with a salmon flannel backing. I tied hers with embroidery thread and was VERY pleased with how it turned out. I think I will tie all quick-turn quilts with embroidery thread in the future.

This means I have finished a lot of my list!!! There are three things left:
- Sam's vest
- Advent Calendar
- Christmas Tablerunner (possibly placemats, but I doubt it)
I read something the other day about nesting. I couldn't believe that nesting can start as early as 5 months of pregnancy! Mine started around 6 months, I guess. I just had the urge to get rid of stuff and finish uncompleted projects. It sure feels good to get things taken care of. The bad thing is that I keep having ideas for NEW projects...I am plagued by my own creativity at this point. Seriously, I was NOT this creative before I had children. Some kind of switch was flipped along the way. I am also an easily inspired person, so maybe just my exposure to other creative people has fueled this creative desire in me...or maybe it's just the fact that since I'm "creating" a baby that I also feel the need to create other things too.
My darling husband had to round on a patient early this morning (so early that I didn't even wake up when he left), and he brought me home a Dark Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino. The Lord BLESS him. That cured my chocolate fix from last night...I had a cup of hot chocolate, but it didn't do the trick. I looked in the fridge and there's another mocha frap in there! He's a doll. I went grocery shopping this morning. It went pretty quickly, which was Grrreaatt, and I was able to add some chocolate stuff to my cabinets. Hopefully no more crying over it in the near future.
Dave and I are going with his class to IHOP this weekend. No, not the pancake place...the prayer place. Check out the link for more info. We're having a class retreat. I'm really looking forward to it. Jason and Misty offered to come watch the kiddos for us all weekend--even though they knew they'd have a newborn in tow! I'm sure it will be fun times all around here! Thankfully, they have Britany to help out. I'm glad I got Maryn out of her room, so Jadlynne can use the crib while they're here...I also thought about getting the bassinet cleaned up. Dave already pulled it out of the attic. It's still wrapped up and needs dusting, I'm sure. It should be a good weekend. For everyone.
I'm 30 weeks tomorrow. Crazy. Sometimes I feel like the pregnancy is going SO slow. Other times, I think, oh my gosh, it is August!!! But, November does seem far away... As for cloth diapering, those who are wondering, it is going well. I think it's great. Sometimes the poo is nasty, but you get over it at some point. I really love my Bum Genius 3.0s; they are great. No leaks AT ALL. I'm in the market for some Bummis Whisper Wraps for my prefolds...need to get on that. Gonna go check to see if Sam is actually napping and not eating my toothpaste (a new distraction while "napping" in mommy's room). Good day!
