I have thought about this very thing, and I KNOW that I am not speaking out enough....in love, of course....to those around me. Sadly enough, I think that Christians often are the ones who give the most criticism. When we choose to live godly lives, they are the first to examine us. Rather than band together there is jealousy and envy and even fault-finding. "Teach me Thy way, O Lord, let me walk in Thy truth. Unite my heart to fear Thy name."......and let the ridicule continue. I am as guilty as anyone....I speak for myself!

"But bind my tongue if I am tempted to speak evil of my brothers and sisters in Christ!"

This is really something very good for us to reflect on often. Thank you for reminding me of this, as we must be focused.

My husband was talking about this the other day.  We were talking about Paul, and how he went on speaking even when people mocked him or wanted to kill him.  He just went and went and went.  We were thinking that he couldn't have done this if he had had any problem with pride.  Paul just had NO pride, I think.  He was able to "forget his person" and just do the Lord's will, come what may, and no matter if people thought he was a nut.  I have to learn to accept this too, and reach out and be honest, even if I know I will probably be rejected.  It's a good lesson.  I know it will strengthen our faith.
