i just made a limeade and a pizza.  i forgot about the pizza though and its been sittin in the microwave for 20 minutes. i dont understand why when you make something in the oven it is 20x better than the microwave. 

school is crazy but pretty tight.  i have one teacher, her name is ms. ritz.  she is extremely obese and has a mullet.  it might be mean but i laugh.  she never looks at us when she is explaining the assignment, her eyes are always fixed to the ceiling.  there is always a mcdonalds cup on her desk.  she makes odd little noises all the time and talks to herself.  she tells really funny stories that wouldn't be funny unless the person telling them is extremely obese and has a mullet.  it is so entertaining.  except i hate math.

so my broth is gettin' ready to leave for college.  it's pretty weird to think that i will now be an only child.  i can't decide whether this is a good or bad thing.  it will be pretty tight having two rooms, my own bathroom, but i'm not sure. 

i worked on a five song EP last night for four hour on cory's macbook.  it turned out pretty tight, i think.  i mean all the vocals and guitars i took in one take so theres lots of mistakes there and i can't carry a tune.  but i added some basses and pads with my synthesizer and it turned out really ambient.  the first track is just a 6 minute instrumental with me expierementing with reverse looping, drum beats, and atonal chord progressions.  it's creepy.  but i like it.  it's a good beginning. 

back to school show the 20th ! yea ! it is from 6 to 9 PM.  the big blue gym.  southern hills christian church.  3207 south boulevard.  the kings of karma and will divide (thats me and paden and eric).  be there.

so last night was terribly hilarious.  

scene: sober grounds coffe house 

when: 10:30 PM

so i get up there and begin playing a decemberists cover, and then here comes the second verse..........oh god.......how do the lyrics go.......i am so bad at improv.  so i had stop the song and have paden bring up my songbook.  it was a really great start for the night.

after i succesfully butchered everything great about the decemberists, i moved on to something i wouldn't feel so bad about screwin up, my own songs...the first one was 'i have seen the light' and i think i did alright on that one, i knew all the lyrics, but it's kind of a boring song.  blah blah and then the third song, 'new york times', was one i had written that day, so it probably wasn't a good idea to play it in the first place, since most of the lyrics were stream of concious and in a really incoherent nirvana style.  anyway not only did i completely bastardize the lyrics, but during the instrumental i realized i hadn't moved up the capo.  which explained why i couldn't find the melody and oh it was god awful the staring eyes as i said whooopss and stopped the song and restarted oh man so hilariously awful.  but i finished it on a good note i hope.  now on to the last song, 'pocket'.  i had changed the chorus lyrics that afternoon and, dear god, i need a better memory. 

i think all that was karma because i laughed at one of the guys who played before me. 

curse you karma.  curse you.

life is good right now.  stayin cool, stayin fly.  my band is doing better than i could have ever imagined.  we should be having a show near the end of summer at hafer park, so everyone better come, cause it will be rockin n rollin. 

and september 23rd.........band of horses......conservatory.....i will be able to drive myself there....saying those words just makes me love the world.......!!

sober grounds coffee house tonight.  i might be performing 'i have seen the light'  and 'pocket' by me, no surprises, and bankrupt on selling, maybe some dylan.  it should be fun.  i hope.  hope hope.

who cares you might say?  well to that i say this, you can go kiss it.  no just joking, but you should care because i am declaring jonny greenwood absolutely the most innovative guitarist ever right now.  gay i know, but watch the end of this vid.  blew me away.  maybe i'm overexaggerating, but that, to me at least, is just skdjfskdlds !  let me say this, my tivo is broken, spoiled brat i know, so youtube is owning my world and this is what i do at 2 in the morning, watch random music videos and concerts.  so maybe i get to excited.  but just watch this.  phenomenal.
