fab gay men... don't you just love 'em?!

Fab5

I was channel surfing last night when I've stumbled upon ETC on SBN and found a re-run of the most gay and the best reality show there is... Queer Eye for the Straight Guy! When I saw these gay men on TV, I started yelling "Ohmigosh! Ohmigosh! Ohmigosh!" Well, why wouldn't I react like that?! It's like the very first American reality show that I got addicted to! I am one of their loyal patrons (that's what I call emphasis!)... I tried watching every episode of this show (I missed some of them, hehe)... I even cried when I didn't get to see them in person when they visited the Philippines... Unbelievable, eh? Believe it.

I remember the first time I saw Queer Eye for the Straight Guy on TV. That time, ETC was a brand new channel kyan in the Philippines. I was trying to check it out to see whether it's a good station or not. The very first show that I've watched there was Queer Eye. At first, I wasn't really sure on what I am watching because it was the first time I dropped by and I didn't see the title of the show. To tell you the truth, the reason why I accidentally dropped by is that a certain good-looking guy caught my attention... Jai Rodriguez. He looked hot dancing on the dance floor on that episode, and I never thought that he's gay. The show went through and I've seen the rest of the Fab 5. I've seen Kyan... and fell in love with him. Hehe. I've seen Ted and Tom.. but when I've seen Carson, I was like.. "Woah! This dude is soo gay!"... But I never thought that all of them are!

After seeing the title of the show, a sudden realization have hit me... telling me that the hosts are all gay! Gosh, how could I not see that coming?! Oh well, who would've guessed that gay men could look that hot? Hahaha! I got a bit disappointed though when I've learned that that they were all gay. Sayang kasi sila, lalo na si Kyan... haha! Since then, I began to love gay men even if I do not approve on homosexuality. Ang labo ko rin noh?!

I just wish that I'm one of the sloppy straight guys featured on the show... they're so lucky to have brushed elbows with these spunky and sexy guys. *sigh*

I miss the Fab 5! I miss Queer Eye!

woah

haha you didnt know theyre gay? haha it is hard to tell since most of them dont act too girly. its reality: gayness is personality, there is malandi, and there is the coy, mas matino type.

btw, how come you dont approve on homosexuality?

@Ardenlabroasuncion - haha, hindi ko talaga nahalata nung una. Kung hindi ko pa nabasa yung "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" na title, di ko iisipin na gay sila! They're just the most sophisticated gay men I ever laid my eyes on!

Basically, the reason why I don't approve on homosexuality because it's a sin. Period. :)

hmm, pero you know homosexuality is not a choice. So basically, people are born homosexuals, so does that mean some people go to hell for who they are, and for something they have no control over? Isnt that just unfair, and if ever it is a sin, homosexuals should not have been born right from the start kung ganun lang pala. What do you think?

@Ardenlabroasuncion - hmmm... I know that there are people saying that they born that way, but it doesn't mean they really have no control over it.

Sorry, but I don't agree that homosexuality is not a choice. We always have a choice! Some people just don't see it that way. Well, there probably is some impulse or something dictating that you are you-know-what, but you can either trigger it or stop it. Feeling lang ng iba hindi nila kaya kasi madali silang nag-gigive in. I know that it's hard, yes. But if you really have firm spiritual beliefs, you wouldn't fall for small things like that because you know what is right and what is not. Life's that way... it's all a matter of choice. :)

This is just my opinion. Ü

Hi! hahaha...I guess you've come to this realization...THERE ARE A LOT OF HOT GUYS WHO ARE GAYS." It's frustrating actually. I'm not against homosexuality or anything. It's just that, sinasayang nila ang kagwapuhan nila eh di naman napapakinabangan ng girls! Kapwa lalaki ang nakikinabang. hahaha.. grabeh tlga ang term na ginamit ko noh?

And yeah, the guys in that show are really hot and I've seen other gay people out there who are really goodlooking. Too bad they're not straight, which is really, really sad. SAYANG EEEHHH! haha.

@gheyb - hehe well youve got a point. my question now is, why did it become a sin in the first place?

Homosexuality is a sin because the Bible says that it is... I've read books in the Bible pertaining to homosexuality as a sin... But I don't know exactly where to find them that's why I looked for them in the Net. Don't worry, I checked the Bible and the quoted scriptures are reliable... :)

The Bible consistently tells us that homosexual activity is a sin (Genesis 19:1-13; Leviticus 18:22; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9). Romans 1:26-27 teaches specifically that homosexuality is a result of denying and disobeying God. When a person continues in sin and disbelief, the Bible tells us that God “gives them over” to even more wicked and depraved sin in order to show them the futility and hopelessness of life apart from God. 1 Corinthians 6:9 proclaims that homosexual “offenders” will not inherit the kingdom of God.

God does not create a person with homosexual desires. The Bible tells us that a person becomes a homosexual because of sin (Romans 1:24-27), and ultimately because of their own choice. A person may be born with a greater susceptibility to homosexuality, just as people are born with a tendency to violence and other sins. That does not excuse the person choosing to sin by giving into their sinful desires. If a person is born with a greater susceptibility to anger / rage, does that make it right for then to give into those desires? Of course not! The same is true for homosexuality.

However, the Bible does not describe homosexuality as a “greater” sin than any other. All sin is offensive to God. Homosexuality is just one of the many things listed in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 that will keep a person from the kingdom of God. According to the Bible, God’s forgiveness is just as available to a homosexual as it is to an adulterer, idol worshipper, murderer, thief, etc. God also promises the strength for victory over sin, including homosexuality, to all those who will believe in Jesus Christ for their salvation (1 Corinthians 6:11; 2 Corinthians 5:17).

btw, why are you so interested on this? wala lang... curious lang. Ü

@gheyb - haha wala lang. ive been in debate last summer, and we have tackled things like this, and plus its basically me not being fully content to what people tell me. I like the article above saying that:

(aba aba, hindi ko ma copy! ang galing haha! anti plagiarism?)

it is the same with other sin, same case as to succeptibility, and that does not excuse them for indulging themselves over their identity. that really gave me a new insight. parang with kleptos, kahit born silang ganon, they have no right to further be kleptos, and perhaps that is their major cross they have to bear. Thanks for that.

So anyway, I am still a little fuzzy on how they are considered as sin. my teacher tells us that they defy the complementary nature of love and relationships. But this certain concept of it being ideal (man+woman) is merely human conceived. This idea that gays are evil are just human society dictating these things for their own sake, and not directly from GOD saying: "gays are evil!!". Ok, lets say that it is in the bible, that homosexuality is a sin. Let us remember that the Bible was compiled by the Nicean (not sure of the spelling though) creed: a HUMAN council on what to put in the Bible. SO, isnt it possible that it being wirtten in the Bible as a sin was for the then active council's protection of their own rights for whatever reason, or nurturing their disgust and personal opinions?

Furthermore, i think that all anti-homosexuality Bible passage were written in the Old Testament. I believe I can finally consider it a sin when there is evidence of it being a sin as said by Jesus, or as wirtten in the New Testament, and also if they can justify why IT is evil, when in fact there are no violations of people's right or livelyhood. So in a nutshell, I still believe that homosexuality being a sin is merely from society's disgust.

If only someone asked Jesus when he was still alive if ever it is evil, then all would be in peace. Or maybe there were really a case of someone asking Him, but was actually cut off from the BIBLE, or was not documented at all. Its possible right?

PS: I think I might post our little debate in my blog. :)

ideal are made by us, human beings. But they are somehow influenced by a lot of factors like spirituality (which I think made big chunks of contributions to this, hehe) and the like, right? I must say, you really made a good point there. Hehe.

Oh yeah... If we only know what God thinks about this so that the debates on this will be over... Unfortunately, nobody knows the way He thinks and that's what makes Him God. :)

Phew! Ang haba ng ating debate! Hahaha! Sabi na nga ba eh, you're into debates! You remind me of a close friend of mine, hehe. But at least, we've made our points clear. Thanks for sharing your insights! It's a good thing that you're not easily contented with what you hear from people... :)

As a Christian, the Holy Bible is my basis on every little thing I believe in. It also serves as my guide in living this crazy life that I have(though there are times when I give in to temptations, hehe). Let's say there may be possibilities that the First Council of Niceae did inject personal opinions on the Bible... Pero di ba wala namang nakasulat sa Bibliya na ikasasama ng kahit sino? The Holy Bible is the one that leads us to the right path --- the path away from sin which will lead us to eternal life. Ü

Oo nga pala, my blog is a no right click site. May mga contents kasi yung blog ko before na ayaw kung pakopya... Mas malala nga yung dati kong ginawa dito eh! yeah... sort of an anti-plagiarism strategy... Haha!

By the way, feel free to post what we've talked about this on your blog. Ü

PS. Mag-UP ka na lang! haha! ;p

@gheyb - (ngeks dati ko pa hinihintay reply mo na lumabas dun sa notfication site ko, meron na pala! hehe sori!)

Pero alam mo, you are right. God doesnt want to let us know what really is the right or wrong thing. Maybe he did want the world to be baffled with the issue of discrimination, maybe because it hones compassion. Without suffering, there is no compassion. You said na nothing in the Bible will bring ill-will to the people right? haha tell that to gay people. :)

Pero I respect and admire your sense of spirituality, and your computer technical skills! hehe parang gusto ko na rin tuloy magkaroon ng anti-plagiarism ekek! :)

And PS: haha weve decided na UP na nga ko. I made it in BS BIO. :)

@Ardenlabroasuncion - hehe... I'm really sorry! Lagi kong nakakalimutan i-click yung "reply" button. I got used to the old Xanga wherein there is no "reply" button to click on. 3 years na kasi akong Xangan, eh kelan lang nagkaroon nyan, right? Nasanay na kasi ako... hehehehe!!! Terribly sorry for that... Next time, I'll keep that in mind. Hehe!

About the Bible not bringing ill-will to the people, I'll let the gay people understand that stuff for themselves. It's their choice to believe it or not. Things are much better learned on your own... hehe.

I do respect your opinions as well. Inggit nga ako sa'yo eh kasi I wanted to be as inquisitive as possible (just like you!), but I always end up accepting everything. Though I have questions on my head, I tend to keep them all hushed up. I'm sometimes afraid of criticisms kasi sensitive ako. haha!

Yey! UP ka na! I just want to tell you that you've made the right decision! Congrats! Hahaha! Ü
