For some reason this didnt post on Thanksgiving so we will try again........

So it has been forever since I have updated but there has just been so much going on!!  We had a crazy last two weeks at Dock Side.  Pretty much all I did was study... go to class.... and then go into town or the movies to give me a break!  School is over and it feels great!!!  It was crunch time getting all the projects done but we all did it!  After that we took a holiday to Day Dream Island.  It was really beautiful there!  We had five days to do nothing but relax and play!!  When we got off our boat they welcomed us with shell necklaces and wine glasses of this orange juice mixture!  I felt like I was on my honeymoon... but not!  On the first day we hired a huge sail boat for just us and we sailed for two hours to white heaven beach.  Let me tell you ... this trip was an exciting one!  First off it started raining like right when we got on.  All 40 of us in yellow rain slickers trying to fight the wind and rain were a pretty sight!  A bunch of us ended up getting really seasick!  All I have to say is that I do not want to be on a boat like that for a very very long time!!! The next day we just had free time to lie out and play in the pool.  The next day we took a ferry to the Great Barrier Reef where we got to snorkel and ride in a glass bottom boat over the reef!  The best part of the whole day was when I scuba dived!!!!  It is definitely one of my top favorite things I have ever done!  I was pretty much freaking out inside the whole time we were in the water!  We got to see some amazing coral and fish!!  From Day Dream we left Australia and flew to New Zealand!  This place is so beautiful!!!!  Words really can’t explain how amazing it is here!  Its kind of cold, which is strange cause, we just came from beach weather!  We flew into Christchurch and then drove the next day to Queenstown!  This town is totally surrounded by mountains!  Snow caps and clouds everywhere!  While we were here we spent the past two days doing whatever we wanted.  Most people went sky diving, bungee jumping, white water rafting, and horseback riding.  I was to chicken to do anything too exciting so I just ended up horseback riding through the Lord of the Rings Territory!  I loved it though!!  My horse was a pickle though!  He liked to take off from the group a lot!  We also saw where they filmed The Lion Witch and the wardrobe, vertical limits and Hercules.  I was riding a famous horse!!!  That was pretty exciting!  The rest of the time here we just shopped!  Tonight was Thanksgiving for us and it was strange to be in a place that doesn’t celebrate it.  We went to a Mori tribe and they gave put on a show for us.  Then they made us Thanksgiving dinner!  They even looked up pumpkin pie on the Internet for us!  They were all really nice!  After the show they sat and ate and talked to us!  They taught us how to do some of their tribal dances.  I love it here!  I wish we could of stayed in New Zealand a little longer!  WE have a couple more days left and then we are heading for home!  That’s pretty crazy to think about!!  I am ready though!!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!

Free travel was great!  Emily, Jes and I just relaxed at the beach/by the pool for three days in Tangalooma!  It was so wonderful!  It was so beautiful just about any time of the day.  On the first night there was a lightening storm over the ocean and it was amazing!  The sky was lighting up like there were bomb going off.  We spent our last day and a half of free travel pretty much doing homework which sucked but we have to get it all done!  Only two more weeks!!!  That's pretty much what we have been doing since we got back except tonight we had a Halloween party!  Some of the boys went crazy and planned the whole thing.  It was great seeing what everyone dressed up as.  I am not going to lie I thought mine was pretty good!.... I wrapped myself in tinfoil and went as left overs!!  I didn't win the contest though so that was kinda sad but the girl that did had a great costume!  She dressed up as a table and lamp... like she wore a box around her as a table and then a lamp shade on her head and she went as a one night stand!  I thought it was pretty funny!!  We have nothing fun left until we leave for Day Dream Island in two weeks!

Last weekend we had our last Australian Tour!  It was kinda sad!  I can't believe how fast the semester has flown by!  We went up the coast this time to the Sunshine coast.  We first stopped by the Australian Zoo but unfortunately Steve Irwin did not come into work that day so we didnt get to see him.  I know sad day!  We did get to see a bunch of fun animals and see another croc show.  After that we headed to rainbow beach where we spent the next two nights.  Saturday was a free day so we all just went to the beach.  I fried my face!  :(  I was doing soo good too!!  On Sunday got in a 4-wheel charter bus and headed over to Fraser Island.  This whole island is covered in sand.  No rock or soil at all and it has some of the most beautiful rainforest and crystal clear fresh water lakes.  We drove for about 45 min right on the shore line in the sand. Then we headed inland to a resort for morning tea.  (something i am getting very custom to!!)  It was fun to kinda off road it on the sand with the big charter bus.  We spend a couple hours swimming in this fresh water lake with white white sand and then we walked through some of the rainforest.  It was all pretty fun!  Besides that trip we have been doing school.... not fun!  The weekend before we spent a day at Tangalooma Island where we fed wild dolphins and went sand tobogganing! It was so much fun!  Kinda like sleding on sand! We then we spent the weekend at the Gold Coast just doing whatever.  It is really really crazy to me that Australia is almost over!  Today we had morning classes and then we started our free travel!!  We have five days to do whatever we want!  Jes, Emiy and i are heading back to Tangalooma to lay on the beach and relax!!  We have to catch a ferry really early in the morning but its going to be so great!  After Free travel we have two weeks of classes and then we are done with school!!

Yeah so its been forever since I have updated this but we have been on a tour for the past week!  The week before that I was crazy stressed with school because our teachers thought it would be fun to cram about 4 weeks of classes into one meaning a quiz and test in every subject.  It was good though to have a week of no tours and sightseeing.  We just got to do our own thing in our free time.  The also have been getting to cook our own meals which has been an event just in itself.  This past week we were in the outback and its pretty much impossible to describe everything we did.... but i am going to try!  First part of the week sucked because we were in the tour bus for about three days straight driving.  The highlight of that was this aboriginal fight that broke out at the hotel we were staying at!  We went camping camping in Alice Spring and it wasnt that much fun but it was an experience.  We were supposed to all sleep out under the stars but they put the girls and most everyone else in because there were too many poisonous things out there.  The day before they found the 4 foot lizard that eats dogs walking around and they have scorpions all around that we had to watch out for.  I was pretty much freaking out the whole time.  The stars were amazing out there I will give it that!  I could just star at them forever!  It cooled down for the second half of the week which was such a blessing.  I got  up at 3:30 am on wednesday and saw the sunrise over the outback in a hot air balloon!  It was amazing!!  It has been my dream ever since in can remember and i finally got to do it!  We kinda had a crash landing that made it exciting!  The night after that we got to ride camels to dinner and did you know that its not true what they say about them.... They dont spit and their humps are not filled with water its just fat!  Yesterday i climed Ayers Rock which means nothing to everyone i know but its huge here.  Actually it is one of the 7 wonders of the world.  Its this gynormouse rock that is in the middle of total flatness for miles.  It is red and changes colors with the setting and rising fo the sun.... Anyways the hike is dangerous.  64 people have been killed climbing it and they only open it when there nearly no wind.  It is so hard because of the steepness.  You pretty much walk straight up a wall!!!  Not really but close enough.  There are some parts where you are almost on all fours and you have to hold onto this chain they have so you dont slip!  That was for only about 1/3 of it after that it is just kinda of hilly but the view is amazing!  It was one of the top things we have done here!  Today we were in the plane all day flying back home!  We have classes for two days and then we head to a island to feed the dolphins and play!  The Outback was so cool and I am so glad we got to see it!  It's Australia!  Oh I forgot.... I also held this huge huge fat snake.  They guy put it around my neck and I held it!  i am so stinkin scared of snakes it is not funny! I still cant believe I did it!  I had nightmares about it all last night because of it!

The picture thing isn't really working out on here because it takes way to long to load... i know sad day.... I am however putting them on snapfish and you are more than welcome to look at them if you want!!  Just go to snapfish.com and for the email put in gilbertgrape13@yahoo.com and then my password is meghan... I know its a lot of work but just if ya want too!!

I will try a few....

Yea for having Internet again! We are finally in Brisbane!! I have an apartment and I unpacked my things in drawers and I went to the grocery store! We have been traveling like crazy for the past two weeks.... We went to Canberra which is Australia’s capitol so we went to places like the capitol and what not... kind of like going to Washington DC. Although we did get to go to this really cool science center and play for like two hours and then to the institute of sport and learn how to play cricket and Aussie tag. We jumped on an overnight cruise to Tasmania, which really ended up being two nights cause of the boat was having some problems.... We got a whole day to sleep in and catch up on homework which I did the entire day! I know I was pretty proud of myself too! In Tasmania we had a bus driver who would talk to us for I am not kidding 3 hours straight on the bus. It was killer especially when we found out Dr. Moore had been taking notes on it the whole time for a quiz. It's beautiful in Tasmania.... kind of like the sound of music look. We Drove a ton and went on lots of tour. We got to drive up a mountain and play in the snow while it was like a blizzard of ice around us and we went to Port Arthur and what not. From there we flew to Melbourne where we drove even more everyday like 10 or more hours stopping every couple of hours to see something. We stayed at a new camp all three nights we were there and got to play volleyball, basketball, pool and do a ropes course. It was freezing but it felt like I was at church camp the whole time! It was fun for our group just gets to hang out. I got to see Penguins come out of the water and go and mate and that was prob one of my favorite things so far! We now are finally at Brisbane and I love it! Except for the classes that started today! I really love Brisbane! So here are some pictures for the past couple of weeks.....

This is way back in Korea when we went to the DMZ and we took a tram down that tiny little tunnel and went to the door of the North side underground!
