I needed a break from normalcy. That's my only justification.

The song made me laugh, and I I needed a good laugh. I was looking for Barry White, but he wasn't a free download. So that's it. Shameful, maybe - but also hilariously random. The song reflects absolutely NOTHING about me. I didn't even know what a "grill" was. Kimbal explained it.

Gotta go do homework. Today I'm putting together a resource kit for a unit in the world religions course on religion, spirituality, and the environment. That's more like me, right???

Ha! It's been forever since I posted! I never have time .

I'm in a great mood today - spring is fabulous.

As for a quick update - I finished my first teaching practicum a couple of weeks ago. It went really well. I didn't want to leave. I fell in love with the students.

I have two weeks and a day of classes left this term - and still 6 assignments to get in. It's that crazy, frazzled time of year for us University folk. Ah, well. It alsways all gets done somehow, right?

Our "new" church is wonderful - we feel like we've been there a lot loger than we have - it was just such a good and natural transition.

Not sure exactly how I'm going to spend May and June. I'm still working a bit at the store - so I may pick up some hours there. Otherwise, I'm really looking forward to spending scads of time with Gav Gav, being outside every day, and working on some personal projects. We're probably going to go and work at camp again this summer (it's not set in stone).

I'm so glad it's Friday(I have no classes). I've been figuring out the Thanksgiving menu for Monday. I'm also hoping to get some packing/sorting/throwing away done today(we're moving soon) - and I have to work tonight for a little while(5:30-9:30).So that's my day. It looks nice outside again, too, so I reckon Gav and I will go for a walk.

Went to a really good "life group" on Wednesday evening(via Journeys Church - where we've started attending).That was encouraging. I have a lot of homework(+packing+Thanksgiving)to do this weekend, so I probably won't write 'til next week sometime.

So - It's been a long time since my last entry. I've been home for just over a month now, and I thought I'd better at least make my xanga presence known again. As we all know, life is busy and time for blogging is sometimes hard to find. So far, my classes are going well - I have a lot of work to do - NOW is about the time the pace really starts to pick up. It's been a bit of an adjustment. My education classes are pretty different from what I'm used to. Gavin is also trying to adjust to preschool,etc. He enjoys it, but still has trouble some days when I drop him off (which breaks my heart).

Anyway, here I am. Hope everyone's having a good week. Enjoy the beautiful fall weather.

The IRON CHEF episode I watched tonight(a re-run)was GREAT! The secret ingredient was lamb, the challenger won, and - the best part - he was so overcome with emotion that he cried! Oh,The melodrama of it all! TV doesn't get any better!
