| i'm finally updating... sorry that i have not been the best xanga'er lately. (not that i have ever been, but that is beside the point) ... i have been really busy lately with college classes starting 3 weeks ago and working 40 hours a week... not to mention coaching 2 bible quiz teams and being on one myself. now that everyone knows why i haven't posted in a month, let me move on...
my college classes are pretty good. i have the two same teachers as i did last quarter, so we get along and all that happy stuff. it has been tough adapting to the busy schedule, because i wasn't used to having to work so many hours, but it has been alright.
i already ran out of time... sorry about the short post.
just wanted to let everyone know i am doing okay. life is great, though busy. i will attempt to keep ya'll a little bit more updated starting today. (though ya'll should know that that is a worthless attempt to rectify this situation and no matter how much i say that i will keep ya'll updated, it won't happen.)
thanks for caring so much! hope your new year has been good so far. later.
| so i figured i should update, since i haven't for a stinkin' few weeks.
christmas was great! we had an incredible christmas celebration with my mom's side of the family on the 17th of December...and my cousin, Brent, showed up unexpected (he was away in San Diego for the Marines)...ly. everybody was thrilled.
the following saturday, on christmas eve, we journeyed to my dad's mom's house to celebrate with his brothers and sister-in-laws. what a crowd.
christmas morning found us tired and weary from the previous night of partying, but we arrived at church on time, nonetheless. (shocker!) had a brief, but gratifying sunday morning service to celebrate with our church family the joyous occasion of Christ's birth and share in communion. after returning home and eating our meager breakfast of cereal, we began the great enjoyment of opening gifts from our family members. what fun to watch my younger sibling's faces as they open the gifts they have been looking forward to receiving for so many days!
anyway.... you get the point!! it was a lot of fun. i have been hugely blessed beyong measure or comparison.
so this past week following christmas has been crazy at work... g&l. i worked 12 1/2 hours on tuesday, 7 hours on wednesday, 10 1/2 hours today... and all day tomorrow. on that note you all should understand that i am extremely exhausted and must go to bed.
love ya'll. and MERRY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!
| oh my word! i am so stinkin' blessed and highly favored. i was offered a job the other day from roger and beth smith, a couple at my church who just recently opened up a business. but... it's great, b/c i get to basically pick my hours that i work. and i make will make more $$ than i do at g&l. and here's the thing: i can still work at g&l, so during the summer i can work a ton of hours!!! how awesome is that? - pretty flippin' awesome, if you ask me anyway.
so i started that job on monday... but i gave my "2 weeks" notice to janet on wednesday to let her know that in 2 weeks, i will no longer be working lunches at g&l. i am so excited. God is so incredibly good... He knows just what we need and when we need it. :D
i have a christmas party to go to tomorrow and i'm really excited. we're going to go christmas caroling at a few different places and it's going to be a lot of fun (i think)...
i really need to get my butt rolling on studying romans. i haven't been doing so hott. oops! - not that i've had a ton of time on my hands... but i could probably come up with a bunch of excuses. (can't we all? - but excuses ARE like buttholes, everybody has 'em and they all stink.)
on that note, i bid you farewell.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! | | |
| well... rough week. it's been forever long and then i got my work schedule for next week and i have all stinkin' lunches 'cept saturday, which i'm off and sunday, which i work all day. bleh! but i got caitlin to give me her tuesday night close... woot! and i'm going to see if katie will switch her friday night to my sunday. so then i won't have to work all weekend... (saturday and sunday) that would be great! and i finally talked to my manager, janet, so that i don't have to work sundays anymore and i told her i need more stinkin' hours. :D
quiz meet was on saturday of last week. we lost the first match to resurrection life, the easiest, newest team... b/c i quizzed out backwards. 'then we won three matches and i quizzed out forwards on all of 'em. then we lost our last match to lakeshore vineyard (duh!) and i quizzed out backwards. stinkin' ...
anyway. i gotta get my butt out the door and get to work.
