Name: katie Country: United States State: Nebraska Birthday: 7/26/1985 Gender: Female
Interests: dancing, baking, trying out this whole blog thing...i guess that's hobby-ish, theatre, watching movies (is that really a hobby you ask...well, yes, yes it is) you know whatever
Expertise: baking...as opposed to cooking. i can cook, just not as well. i realize you all think i am joking about this diner thing, but really...also, i like to make people happy, and apparently am good at making people laugh at my stupidity (i can be quite the clumbsy naive child at times). another odd thing i am capable of is carrying entire conversations with movie quotes, and i am kind of a "friends" nerd--okay, "kind of" is the understatement of the year, but you know...

| so i worked today from 10 am until 5 pm.....didn't have a table till around noon, and ended with 30 in tips--very exciting day, right? well... one of the tables i was waiting was a part of a larger group of some of the girls i work with and their friends. there was a guy at that table that was all "hey, are you joining us for a drink?" (when i had to explain i was getting cut and they needed to cash out to give me money), and since he was with people i knew, and i'm tyring to get to know my coworkers, i say "sure.".....it is now midnight, folks. i just got home. bless joe's heart, he came out for a bit, but because they were kind of a "football-ladies-red meat-grrrr" sort of bunch, he left--good idea, joe. the guy that invited me turns out to be 26, knows the connealys, and asked me on a date.....right now my overall thoughts are "he's a really big tool" and i've come to the conclusion that the only people who hit on me anymore are sappy guys who want to get married (have i not TOLD anyone about the 30 something year old that hit on me at pacsun while shopping in SD or the 30 ish year old that hit on me at the slammer in hastings?...seriously, folks) ---insert edit after receiving a text from said fellow right after posting: DID I MENTION THEY ARE ALL COMPLETE MORONS?!?--i'm not saying i'm anything close to being a smart person, but i CAN spell basic words!--- | | |
| so. i work at brewsky's (park drive) sat. and monday nights....AND i get a "shift drink" (basically a drink for a buck) after each shift worked. However, because i work with a bunch of caddy 19 year old girls, no one stays for a drink and i refuse to drink by myself. POINT: everyone 19 and older should come to brewsky's around 11:30 ish (i'll call if i get released earlier) and we can have goodtimes! (ummmm....you might want to call and make sure i actually am working first....but whatevs--if i'm not it's still a fun place??) | | |
| christmas shopping day #2 good news: almost completely done bad news: spend WAY WAY too much today good news: totally bought a cute brown belt, and got both "how the grinch stole christmas" and "robin hood" (disney movie with foxes) for myself : ) AND better news: joe koll got me "eegah" (only about the best worst movie ever made) PLUS guess what other amazing things i discovered?--if you go to GAP (i know..)there is a section of clothes where if you buy them, half the proceeds go to AIDS research, and does anyone remember the "little miss" series of books? Well, at PacSun they have the t-shirts! except they are like $25.... YAAAAAAAAAAY CHRISTMAS!! | | |
| went christmas shopping today...got a lot done : ) AND i re-discovered how much i am in love with the store "the afternoon." i want my house to look like that place when i grow up. ALSO i was reminded that i need to go to moviegallery in hastings so i can get some cheap movies, and guess what i found?? LAW AND ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT SEASON ONE ON DVD!!!! purely amazing. | | |
