the past couple days have been pretty fun. let's see.. wednesday, britt and i took my little sister to busch gardens. it was cool spending some time with brandy, we never really get to. i rode the griffon for the first time.. just before we stopped at the top, i let out this loud scream. haha, it was awesome though. we even got our faces painted, just like the little kids do!

thursday was shopping spree day. i spent all day shopping online. let me tell you.. you can get some great deals that you can't find in the stores around here. google the words "coupon code" along with the store's name.. you can find so many discounts on merch and shipping it's unbelievable. and if you're looking for a cute variety of jeans, go to karmaloop.com. the jeans there range from 30-200 dollars.. but for 65 bucks, you can buy some of their colorful skinny jeans. i love it!

friday.. bartended in the morning. me and amber always use that day to vent to each other. we were definitely cracking each other up. then i met up with cheryl, natalie, dennis, mez and josh at the bayou boogaloo. i've never tried cajun food.. and i still haven't! haha. they had fried alligator there.. dennis says it doesn't taste bad.. i'll just take his word for it. of course we stopped at waterside and had some more drinks. i feel bad because icky was the only one left, and i kept saying how i wanted him to be my party date because i wanted to go with an unshaven body, greasy hair, and unbrushed teeth. haha it was so weak..

anyways.. now it's saturday. bartending with allison tonight! wouldn't it be nice if the money just came free?

    surprises

i saw the hulk last night. kinda long, but it was alright. it seems there aren't any really good movies anymore.

but for those who don't know, i'm celebrating my 22nd birthday july 25th at velvet lounge on granby. let me know if you wanna come. bday's actually the 29th, but i'll be out of town (new york! ). two more reasons why this summer should be a blast.

nothing special's happening today. went to the gym for a bit, cleaned out my car, went to the bank. and later i gotta work all-you-can-eat, soo.. you know how that goes.

she's a fool to let you go..

i just spent three and a half hours sleeping on the beach. slept away my sickness, and got a great tan. haha. not much planned tonight, may go hang out with a friend. we shall see.

    my horoscope for today. hmmm.

"The people around you today don't seem like they are saying what they truly mean -- could they be holding their tongue because they are afraid of hurting your feelings or ticking you off? When they ask you for your opinions, you don't mince words -- so why should they? Speak up and let them know that when you ask them a question, you expect the truth. Ask for this kind of honesty today -- and be prepared for what it may bring you. Dancing around the truth is a waste of time."

  • The Holocaust

I get so emotional when I even think about the word. Have you ever felt like something was a part of you so much, even though it happened so long ago? I haven't had any dreams about it for a couple months, but I remember every single one of them. I don't know what they mean, or why I have them. I think they are what motivate me to someday visit Europe. I was researching on the net today.. and just seeing pictures was hurtful enough. The stories are too hard to bear. But I'm glad our generation has these stories, so we can understand and learn. I admire those who experienced this tragedy first-hand for their strength and courage, they are much better people than I.

    Checklist for Life (in Progress)

this is my checklist for life. it's still in progress. don't laugh

in no specific order, i want to:

-graduate college. and hopefully be a history professor.

-this one comes in hand with the first. i'd like to teach underpriveleged kids, whether it be in our own country or overseas.

-get married. not anytime soon though

-adopt a family for christmas. i've always wanted to return the favor.

-visit new york. again. and again. and again.

    -study in poland or germany.

-put my feet in the pacific ocean.

-see the yankees play the front row (and not in the outfield!)

    -see survivor in concert.

-take my mother on a limitless shopping spree

-fall in love again. and this time keep it.

    It's been way too long...

wow, it's been way too long since i've last messed with this thing. three years now? but i just got done bartending.. and i can't sleep.. so here i am. starting it back up again. i guess i really just need a place to collect my thoughts.

today was a very uneventful day. slept in til about 12pm.. i am the heaviest fucking sleeper. i waste my whole day. but anyways, tanned.. went to work around 4. i really hate when they schedule me as the second bartender on thursdays. it's only busy on the floor because of the auto depot party that always comes in, never the bar. so TJ and i both walked with about 170. maybe i'm just greedy, haha.

as of my love life right now.. NONEXISTENT. i guess i'm fine with it for now, but it'd be really nice to have someone to confide in, act silly together, and just be loved by. we live in a world nowadays where sex (which is one of the key elements of a relationship) is so casual. and i mean, i don't disagree with casual sex.. but i think i've just been there and done that. it has its fun, but ultimately, it keeps you just wondering about more. oh well, it's to the single nightlife for now

to begin the countdown.. new york in a month and fourteen days! my best friends britt and iris will spend the four days with me, i can't wait. shopping, a yankees game (of course!), barhopping.. i don't even know what to expect. the last time i was in new york city.. i fell completely in love. i wish i had the money to just pick up and leave norfolk. every thing about that place captures me. july 27th just won't come soon enough!
