What delightful snow to enjoy! For those of you who don't appreciate snow in the least - try. It's especially pleasant  when you can be inside and see the beauty of it, I realize.
Florida was one of my destinations in the last 2 weeks and my friends Becky, Myrna and I had an incredible time there. We visited dear friends, Jesse and Sherry. Good, old-fashioned southern hospitality! Wow! Got to watch the sun set at the beach and go to dinner at a great seafood place.  Spent time with Jesse's family and cousins which was great fun!
Also got to see my sister Sara,  husband, David and kids in Harrisonburg, VA. So good to catch up with them! It was a great 9 day excursion with several stops along the way. I'm a big girl. I can drive many miles by myself!
For those of you who will be at the reunion and/or De's wedding, see ya there!
About the book I've been reading....got one word for you - enlightening. Later ya'll

NEW YEAR, 2008

Happy New Year ya'll! I'll be drinking egg nog tonight as the New Year arrives. A delicious liquid rich in vanilla with chunks of ice cream bobbing in the creamy substance. Ahh, YUM. No eggnog I've had beats my Mom's, that's all I'm sayin'.

So, how does this coming of the New Year work? WHEN does it come? It'll be here in a little less than 12 hrs. What about all of you in Chiang Mai? It's so confusing to think that the New Year will come 11 or 12 hours sooner than it will for the rest of us! And what about all you in other parts of the US? Will you be in 2008 an hour before or after us here in IN? WEIRD! Anyway, may our Father be intrinsically present in each of your lives and in the desicions you need to make in the coming year. Let's make Him look good!

(Did you notice that I've taken to reading a classic? Those of you who influenced me in Thailand, I want you to notice! =)

Hallelujah!

Today's the day my dearest friends ever, Becky and Myrna are coming to Chiang Mai!!! In less than an hour I plan to be laying eyes upon them!!! YESSS!!!

Semester break is almost officially over. It has been such a good break for us that have stayed on! It's amazing how you can find things to do if you try. Cooking for ourselves has been so much fun. Surprising what good cooks we actually are! Josh was the head cook, so us girls, Kelly, Nomes and I gave tips here and there. Eric helped with the donuts and Alex helped with the fry bread. With our working together, we came up with some real tasty dishes, if I do say so myself.

Guess what you guys? I got to do the whole "biking around the mountain" thing again! So much fun! That was definitely the fastest I've biked it. Was so great flying around that mountain! Okay, it wasn't that fast, but for me it was. For those of you coming to visit, that ride is a must.

For those of us that are still here and those who have gone home, we will never be the same. May we all continue to change for His greatest glory!

Monday 2nd semester starts. It will be quite different from 1st, since it is only half the amount of students and we are still feeling the loss of them leaving. Thanks to you all for how you have impacted me.

I'm expecting a good 2nd semester!

Hi friends! These last two weeks I am able to sit back, relax and enjoy some good, old-fashioned be by myself time. Students, I probably wouldn't need to bother to mention that I miss you like crazy! But, you just keep serving our Father in the countries you're at and let your hearts be touched and changed by Him.

I got to drive around the mountain with friends yesterday which was great! There were 9 of us, I think and we had a great time. It was so much fun all of riding together, sometimes all in 1 long row, and sometimes in little groups. After yesterday, I decided that someday I wanna be in a biker gang! Anyone wanna join me? I'm not good at getting things like that together, but let me know if you're interested.  We got rained on a couple of times and we actually got cold enough that we could see goosebumps on our arms! Being way up on the mountain, the rain and the wind all contributed to dreaming about what warm, long sleeves would feel like. Imagine that in Chiang Mai!

So great to have friends to do stuff with. Especially when I've been thinking I have to make any "fun" myself if there's gonna be any. Thanks to all of you who've been looking out for me! Delight, Eric, etc......

I'd better get to reading. I'm in a race with a friend to get a book read, so better get on it! Actually before I do that, I need to get ready to go to Khao Feung, a sweet, waterfall restaurant with 2 girlfriends!
