| | My garden now contains seeds for peas, beans, beets (Deeper'n'Ever Pie,
anyone?), oregano, basil, and lavender. Still to come are rosemary and
chives, both of which have to be started indoors....ok, I'm a little
late, but no biggie with the long growing season here. There are some
onions already growing in the pantry; guess I'll see what they do in
the ground. In a few weeks I plan to put in another crop of peas and
beans. I might grow some late tomatoes, and probably more beans. Why
don't I grow more of the variety that we did at Mom and Dad's? Because
I can buy so much of it from the farmers. I'm starting small here and
taking care of my neighbors.
