| DetoxWhat is detoxing?
Detoxing is a spring-clean system akin to de-cluttering your house. This means you start binning all the rubbish, tat and junk that is littering up your fridge and cupboards; the very stuff that also clogs up your digestive system and aids all the above beauty meltdown symptoms. So, for a whole weekend, out go the following (and, yes, you do have to bin them or give them away, otherwise you'll give in to temptation sometime arond 3.00p.m. on Saturday afternoon).
Answer yes, to three or more of the following and it's likely you need the pre detox to get your body & face ready for the event coming.
-
Does your skin have a spotty and vaguely grey pallor?
-
Are you exhausted even when you first wake up?
-
Is your tongue coated in a white, silver, or yellowy-grey layer?
-
Is your breath bad?
-
Do your gums bleed or feel sensitive?
-
Is your skin itchy?
-
Are you suffering from headaches?
-
Is your neck stiff?
-
Is your stomach bloated?
-
Are your nails broken & brittle?
-
Is your hair lacklustre?
-
Have spots become the bane of your life?
-
Is your skin flaky and dry?
-
Are your eyes surrounded by bags or red rimmed?
-
Are your lips chapped?
-
Is your body aching?
-
Are you stuffed-up inside?
I have got to go now! Will update more about Detox tomorrow! Pls subscribe / Leave a comment with your email ;)

| Aloe Vera
photo taken from : www.fitness.leitfaden.net/
Scientists are not sure how it works, but the gel when you cut a leaf of this spiky plant is rich in anti-inflamatory compounds as well as a chemical called bradykininase that acts as a topical painkiller.
You can buy products containing aloe vera, but there's no substitue for the real thing. The plant is easy to grow on a kitchen windowsill and thrives on neglect.
To soothe sunburn, cuts, piles and minor burns, wash the area thoroughly with soap and water. Then cut a chunk off a leaf, slice it lengthways and squeeze out the gel. Apply a generous coating to the injured area and repeat 2-3 times a day.

| You can take a vitamin instead of eating.Sometimes true,
as, for instance, with calcium supplements (with vitamin D). But don't be misled into thinking that it's better to down pills than to down vegetables. Orange juice has more in it than just vitamin C. And foods don't just have a biochemical importance; they can create a kind of energy force in your body.
For example, it may be that it's not one nutrient that helps prevent cancer or reduce heart disease, but rather the combination of several ingredients that does the trick. And that's the kind of nutritional power you find only the way nature makes out food. In fact, we believe that the study of how food can heal is the next frontier medical search.

| You can "spot reduce" a specfic problem area.
False.
Let's say you have a gut, or some cellulite on your tighs. Do crunches or squats every day and you'll eventually work off the fat, right? Sorry. That's now how the body works.
Think about someone who's lost weight. Where's the first place you notice it? The face. We don't see too many people doing face crunshes in the gym, it just goes to show that your body dictates where fat is burned. If you want to build muscle in a particular area, you can make it look younger & firmer.
But the only way to target a trouble spot is through an overall programme of aerobic exercise, resistance work and a kilojoule-controlled diet.
You have to lose it under the chin to lose it from your belly.
