| Umm...I just asked Nicole to cut off access to my facebook for a while, so now I am here (withering away.) Whatever, I felt like updating anyway. It's been a while! Life (and school) in New York City has been good, personal issues aside. In fact, I might go back to Lowell to hold one of those college presentations on Eugene Lang. Above all the nice (and not-so-nice) things about being here, I really notice how much of a complement and contrast it is to the Lowell experience. Okay it's more like a bajillion times better, but it's still life. Let's condense my experience so far: - No journalism internship (yet) - Awesome campus job - Unimpressive science department... - OR, really awesome science department as a complement to next year when I do SEA Semester - Awesome classes this semester, can't complain too much - Lots of good food in NYC - Free tickets to see plays, dances, discount Broadway tickets,... - Creative, passionate, interesting, engaging people all around (gasp! people with personality!) - Pretty awesome suitemates, mostly - "Be happy that you're in love, that's more than most people have." Heh. - Favorite person in my building dropped out of college last week, but it's okay she will be back - Might take bartending course over the summer. Hello, rent money! - Everybody here is a creative writing major. Darnit. - So so so behind on my papers. Don't tell Ellen! - Sipping spiced chai at 3 in the morning reading Malcolm Gladwell, who's visiting our small, first year writing class on Wednesday. Can you say snobby intellectual? Three times?? I could go on and on, but I'll just end on a picture note. This is my co-worker and me at an apple bobbing event with the Sustainability Committee on campus. Yes, I do this for work.
We are super red because it was freezing back in December. Um okay back to homework. |
