| Moving to blogspotI think "blogspot" is a horrible name for a website, but fortunately the great Google hooked me up with my own domain name. You can find my current personal weblog at creekpilgrim.com or, if you prefer, at creekpilgrim.blogspot.com.
Sorry, xanga. "It was real, and it was great, and it was really great." (Cool points.)
I might stop by to visit if I'm ever in the area. So feel free to leave comments or contact me if you're intrigued by an old post. Just realize that I might not get the message for awhile.

| | Currently Watching Tombstone By Kurt Russell, Val Kilmer, Sam Elliott, Bill Paxton, Powers Boothe see related | The ETC's annual Building Virtual Worlds show is up on YouTube.
I took the class last fall, during my "bootcamp" here at the ETC. This year my housemate Fan Zikun went through that unique hell, or as he said, "I paid people to kill me." His class had a happier time of it than my class, I think, and you can see some of the results for yourself. I haven't watched the chopped up version, but they gave all the semester projects a quick shout-out, so if they're included, watch for the Augmented Reality project.
Team AR has crossed the finish line and is in the process of turning in our finished results to our clients. Overall, I had a pretty crappy semester, but at least it's over, and hopefully I'll be on another continent next semester. Plus, there's that whole holiday thing coming up any day now, and that's supposed to be fun. Or at least more relaxing than grad school.

| International PoliticsI followed a link from a story about two Parisian Parkour enthusiasts ,
and found two beautiful and heartening videos about monks in Burma. Pray for them, and for the people of Burma. It's nice when you can actually see faces, instead of praying for a vague "people" in some distant place.
Also, some of you might enjoy this version of Rock, Paper, Scissor.

| Summer daysSo, I've got a week and a half left in California. Yes, did I mention that I've been in Los Angeles all summer? Well, it's true. DreamWorks gave me an internship, and it's been marvelous.
I want one of these for Christmas.

| Not Dead YetAnd here I thought academia would give me more opportunities to blog, or at least interesting stuff to blog about. I suppose the second part has been true, but the soul-crushing workload has meant that all free Internet time is mostly devoted to webcomics. Moving my eyes across a page has pretty much been the extent of my leftover creative energy. There was also the Bloomin' Gardens addiction, but I think I'm mostly over that now.
Truthfully, I'm only posting here now to avoid doing some stupid last-minute work on our semester project. It's just pasting together some Flash slides and hooking up some radio buttons, but I've been successfully avoiding it for about 2 hours now.
Grad school: "soft opening" (like a beta release) of our project is on Friday, and then we have two weeks to polish it up before final presentations. One assignment left for my Maya class.
Job: Still looking for a summer internship, hopefully my phone interviews will go well and I'll have one by Friday.
Life outside of school: What? Oh, my roommates and I did watch a movie that one time. I remember that.
