everything's breaking down...one at a time...

does anyone know anything about buying refrigerators?!?  i feel like i've been through all the married life house dilemmas and i'm not even married.   anyways... in addition to my 2 of 3 toliets that are currently broken, my refrigerator died on me.  sadly, the newer of the 2 was the first to go... i'm praying the older one will hold out atleast until i get a replacement.  I didn't even realize the fridge was broken until i opened the freezer and found a puddle of murky water at the bottom of the freezer and realized there was no "cold" air coming from the vent.  needless to say, a couple hours later, I had 5 bags of spoiled food, a smelly kitchen and a pile of freshly cleaned tupperware.

anyways, i'm pretty sure the washer and dryers are next to go... i should probably start researching those things now...any suggestions? gonna go to sears tomorrow since they seem to have pretty good customer service, including the "haul away" service where they take away the old appliance for $10.  there is no way that i'm gonna try to lug the old fridge by myself to the curb.  i'll pay $10 to have them take it away for me...well worth the lincoln.

i have an ant infestation problem in my house. actually, let me correct myself... i HAD an ant infestation problem. it turns out they were all coming from the bottom of the dishwasher.  I zapped them away with raid ant spray but i'm scared to pick up the dead suckers.  ugh... i hate massive amounts of anything...esp anything that crawls on more than 4 feet.  eww.. shudder...

sooooo... i'm back from the motherland!  and let me tell you.... i am effin' glad to be back. perhaps not excited to come back to 300 some new work emails and a crapload of mail to sift thru, BUT it's nice to be able to wear whatever i want to wear and do what i wanna do again. There's was lots of eating, shopping, bickering, watching korean dramas, and more eating.   I got so sick of shopping one day, I forced the rest of my family to go to Min Suk Chun, the traditional Korean village.  It was a nice learning environment and I had fun, although my Mom thought otherwise. (it was pretty cold tho, I must admit) It was good to be with the whole family for a couple weeks and create more inside jokes and memories, but also trying at the same time. actually, I think my family just made fun of me most of the time...what can i say.. i am the middle child.

anyways, i left 2006 in a panick and began 2007 in chaos, but things have now settled, applications have been sent in and now i can create new journeys and goals.

2006, I was blessed with...
- new groups of friends
- closer groups of friends
- trying out something new & sticking to it
- a better understanding of myself
- promotion
- taking my gmats and finish applying for schools
- living thru house selling/buying chaos
- many, many interesting events

in the end, there were many joyous, tragic, painful and life-changing events among me and my friends & family that have made this year very memorable.  looking back you think to yourself, "wow, i did all that in 2006?!?"

2007, I'll be...
-doing a lot
of house renovating (if anybody wants to hit up ikea with me :) )
- looking for jobs and apt in NYC (if anyone knows of any cheap places to live... pleeeease feel free to let me know)
- making new friends hopefully
- being better about keeping in touch with old friends hopefully
- and, well, just hoping this year is less chaotic than this past year...u know, figure out what you wanna do with your life kinda stuff... seems like it's always changing on you.

look forward to it. :)

ok, so who else is going to Korea during winter break?  I'm so excited now.  I'll be there from the Dec 27th to Jan11th.  Yes, I will be celebrating the new year in the motherland with family and friends.  Should be grreat!

ok, I am determined to finish these essays and apps before I leave.  I must.  God, just give me brillant ideas to write about.  sigh.  writing eloquently about yourself is hard.  especially under pressure.

daehanmingook!!!

what a tiring past couple weeks.  I feel like i'm going to pass out every day when i get home.

anyways, i just wanted to post some pictures from the couple past weddings I was at real quick.

i was a bridesmaid to Olive & DL's wedding which was like a month ago (sorry!) so we had to get decked out. the other wedding was for my pakistani coworker, Sehreen Awan, and her now-husband Kenny DiPasquale.   One of the coolest experiences ever...from the engagement party to the actually wedding reception.  all i can say is, pakistani people know how to partayyy...

the beautiful glowing bride...

my future husband... j/k!...but what cute kid ethan is....cheeese!

sorry.. i think this is the best picture of the bridesmaids i had... didn't take too many pictures. they all looked fab. :)

most of the groomsmen... i think a couple were wondering around.

my hot partner in crime, jisun, & me (sungsill did our hair... she needs to go professional)

.::Sehreen & Kenny's engagement party::. (the day before the wedding)

sehreen's close lady friends and....chris... i was late...

sehreen had to look down almost the whole entire time, but me & donna copped a picture w/ her anyways.

she looked up so she took take a picture with me :)  such privileges.

when the girls were dancing/performing supposedly it's a blessing to get $1 bills tossed at you...
so he's tossing away...they were awesome.

little kids were in hot pursuit of the fallen ownerless $1bills...some even tried to
toss them back to the dancers...talk about recycling gifts...

doing what they do best...partying it up... dads, moms, grandmas, kids...they all danced!

.::Sehreen & Kenny's wedding reception::.

i have no idea...but they do like to dance. she was amazing though!
