DA DA DA DAAAAA! i have finally moved into my apartment. long time coming if you ask me. it is sooo cute. i wish you all could be up here to see it because it is that precious!

moving was not easy. and by "moving was not easy" i mean physically. my dad is a strong guy but he swears "this is the last time we are moving that couch". so whomever moves in after me will have a nice old couch that used to be a nice shade of blue but is now a green/gray color. oh and it comes with a mattress since it folds out that is so uncomfortable. the buttons are falling off of the mattress and quite frankly you do not know the meaning of back pain until you have slept on springs poking through the mattress. makes me wonder if my parents care about my physical wellbeing at all since they have had this mattress since the 70's and my sister and i would sleep on it every weekend in the living room when we were younger. that was the cool thing to do in our house. every friday night we would pull the couch out into a bed and would sleep on it. and another fun thing to do was to get into the car and drive a loop on 47th and I-135. we were poor so that is how we entertained ourselves.

the only problem with this apartment is that i do not know how to work the AC. it is central air but it seems that even if i set the level at 75, the thing will not shut off. and what is "fan"? i know it blows air but is it supposed to cool or what? i dont know. i am afraid my gas bill will be high along with my electric bill because i have not figured this out yet.

otherwise things are going good here. seems like i am spending more money when i should probably be saving it. in the last two days i bought a magenta razor phone and a whole set of bed sheets and comforter. that stuff is not cheap. so in lue of that i went and threw away $5.00 at poker because clearly i was not playing with a strategy. i need to be a bit more miserly?

anyway. classes are starting in a few (2) weeks and that is exciting. i think it will be good. i had a little mix up on my schedule because my total body toning class got moved to a different time and day which interfered with my great books class so i had to switch it around. the only bad deal is that you are supposed to do everything on-line which i tried but my fear of screwing that up was so high i called the school. they gave me a run around so i walked down there and got it fixed for myself. everything should be cleared up now.

oh yeah i went on a walk the other night. it was such a nice night so i kept on walking. about 4 miles. i walked all around the K-state campus. this freaked everyone out which is stupid. do you not think i have not thought of the consequences of walking alone? alright i was not by myself and it was no where near night time. and just to you feel a little better (anyone else that is scared for my wellbeing) i found a security light post that you push a button and the security guard will come get you. it was a really nice walk though. nice campus.

back from vegas. yeah it was fun but not thrilling. i would have to say that the best part of the whole trip was seeing the Cirque Du Soleil perfomers. they were doing the show "The Beatles Love." amazing. that is really the only word you can say to describe it. tickets were $125.00 if you wanted to sit together so we (being cheap) opted for the $99.00 tickets where you do not sit together but get to sit next to random strangers. i lucked out and sat next to a man and women from new york. unfortunatly for sonny she had to sit next to a drunk guy from chicago. he was not as classy as i pictured chicagans to be. buzz aldren was there too. it was the 37th anniversary of us landing on the moon so he decided to come to the show.

here is my review of cirque du soleil (because i know you are all on the edge of your seat waiting for it). this show made me consider being an acrobat so that means it was pretty good if i want to change a profession after seeing a show. people came flying from every corner of the builiding and ceiling which was good that they used every part of the stage for the show so even people with bad seats (ie everyone sitting around me) were still able to see the show. at first i wanted to cry because it was moving. and not a religious moving. more of an "oh this is amazing" moving. during the first song they had guys and girls doing a dance in the air and i forget what line it was in the song, but the guys would drop the girls and they would bungee right back to them. i know that they are all on cables but it looked like they were going to hit the ground really hard and that would be it. the next song was "I am the Walrus". i could not take my eye off the guy who looked like he had no spine. the way he would move his body was fantastic. he would do the head to toe wave and then his legs looked like they were detached from his body. crazy. they did all the beatles songs and my favorite performance/song was "In the way she looks". the same guy that did "I am the Walrus" did this song and he moved in a much more graceful way and the girls looked like angels flying around.
During the song "Revolution" they made the best use out of trampolines. people were flying everywhere without cords so you figured they had to try really hard to not fall off. honestly, these performers were amazing. the best part of was thinking about how graceful everything was. timing was perfect (which made me think of how many accidents and broken bones went into making this show).
oh and i have to tell you, you pretty much go through 3 different stages of feeling. my first was the crying sensation because everything was soo magnifcant (but i did not cry mind you). the second was feeling like i was in a crazy dream and the third was that i had just taken LSD and it was kicking in. i know they probably will not make a DVD out of it but if they did, i would buy it and it is hard for me to by a DVD. you should look it up on the internet or something because clearly you cannot do it justice by writing about it.
ah that was great. sorry you guys couldnt enjoy it like i did.

other then that, there was alot of shopping and eating.

shopping: i do not call going into stores and looking at stuff i cannot afford "fun." sonny and my mom did though. we went into Prada, Dior, and Jimmy Choo. shoes should not cost $700.00 they had better be plated in gold for me to buy a pair of $700.00 shoes. oh and Dior had red baby shoes for $90.00. i love my children but not enough to buy them $90.00 shoes that they will only wear for a week. so when we got to the fashionshow mall and i could actually afford clothes, paying 20.00 for a shirt didnt seem all that bad.

eating: that is all we really did. food out there is expensive. everyone talks about how the buffets are really good so we went to one. okay it is buffet food. what are you doing charging people 20.00 per person? my goodness. yeah it was good but trying lowering the price to 8.00 per person and it would taste fantastic. i think the best place we ate was the harley davidson cafe. it was neat because they had motorcyles suspended from the ceiling going around a track through out the whole place. it was neat until you thought about the motorcycle falling on your head. and for my moms birthday we ate at toby keiths bar and grill. he has that song "i love this bar" which everytime it comes on everyone in the place gets a free shot of tequila. this guy opened his throat and kept chugging the tequila. brave guy.

gambling: i only lost a dollar. i played a slot before the show and didnt win anything. came close though. and i did it underage which makes me a rebel. one night my dad and i were standing at a craps table and he was trying to explain it to me when this lady asks me if i am 21. to dodge the question i said my dad was telling me how to play. she said if you are not 21 you cant watch a craps game. why? i have seen worse than a craps game. infact that same afternoon i saw 3 overly hair men in the pool and large women in bikinis. do not tell me i cannot watch a craps game. well i left because i did not want to get carded. oh and my dad really is kenny rogers a.k.a the gambler. he came back 500.00 richer. man.

ho hum.

vegas in 6 days! i do not know how exciting that is considering i am only 20 and to do pretty much anything half way fun you have to be 21. damn. 5 more months. i was talking to my mom yesterday on the phone and said that while i am sitting next to the pool, some guy had better buy me a drink. that way i can sashay of to him and sit next to him. the most romantic words ever to be said will come flowing out. they go something like this "do you like pina coladas? long walks in the rain?" unfortunatly that is all i know so it will probably stop there. and then i thought about it this morning. how about on our last night there, sonny and i go out to dinner. while walking down the strip we say rather loudly "who wants to buy us dinner tonight?" it probably would not work but it is worth a try. just to see if i can get some random stranger to buy us dinner. and if that does not work, i will pull my all time favorite "what do i have to do to get this cheesy bread for free?" that has actually worked. when i was living in el dorado, my friend jen and i walked into dominos and got our pizza. i really wanted some cheesy bread so i asked the all guy staff "and i will take some of that cheesy bread for free." he gave it to us. nothing tastes better than free cheesy bread.

welp i have to go to work.

i need to choose which place i am going to write because this is getting ridiculous. i didnt spell that right and i understand that but c'mon...are you really reading for the typographical errors? didnt think so.

manhattan is...fun. this is my first day off in two weeks and what do i do? i travel. i came home for the 4th to celebrate with family and friends at the lake. my first stop on the way home was el dorado. i had to catch up with everyone and all that jazz. that was great fun. then i went to my grandmas house in rose hill. i have never seen her in curlers before and quite frankly i was a little terrified. then i came home to see my parents and go see my granny. after a while we went to hong kong (best chinese food in wichita) and i came home to ride my bike and take a few calories off i had just injested. i am not a big fan of eating late at night so i work out to maybe keep my metabolism going a little harder. now i am being lame and sitting at home. there was a party in el dorado i was invited to but i do not want to drive up there tonight and then go back tomorrow afternoon after being there this afternoon. confused? good. mission accomplished.

otherwise nothing great is going on. maybe i will get a wicked bad sun burn and complain about that.

it has been a really long time since i have updated. what all has happened? well i am settled for now. i actually need to be calling my landlord to see when i am moving into my apartment but instead...i am on here writing to you.

still working at dillons but hopefully for not too much longer. i really do not like it there and it is time for a change of scene. there are only about 2 or 3 people i would miss if i left and two of them are leaving at the end of next month. ah well.

i should be down july 1st and 2nd to go to the lake with la familia so that is exciting. other then that i remain in manhattan which means YOU need to make the trip. i am tired of coming down for your behinds when you can make it up here just as easily. it is the same amount of time no matter who drives.

manhattan has been fun so far. hooked up with a few people from high school and that is about it. found a new poker group. that is really exciting because it was all guys and i had never played with them before so i was a little nervous. well i was not first out and i won a few hands so i was proud of myself.

other then that everything is fine. honestly i cannot wait to move into my place because i was used to living alone and now living with 3 other people is a little strange. plus i feel like i am in the way or something. not with my cousins or anything but my aunt gives me these weird vibes like she does not like me here. that is my aunt though. and the middle of july is not that far off right? okay.

well i am off to do something exciting like read or something.

so i am moved. like all the way moved. there is not going back to grab something i forgot. that is weird to think about. i cannot just do a hop-jump-skip to any town because i need/forgot something. manhattan is the most confusing place on earth. well driving here is the most confusing thing on earth.

miss everyone but i will see you all soon. probably sooner than you think. atleast jen and aj will be up in about 3 weeks for the country stampede so i can see them. YAY!

saying goodbye to everyone was weird. it was not the feeling of "oh my gosh we will be so far away." but more of "so i will not be seeing you in three hours like it normally would be." hmm. ah well.

i have had fun up here so far. met up with tyler and david and have been hanging out at the house alot. i think i should go running so i do not look lazy on my day off. for some reason i have this feeling my family thinks i am lazy. but i am not. wow that was random. okay i really am going to go because i feel like garbage and nonsense are just coming out of my mouth. plus full house is on? watch it?

i need to see the da vinci code.

things of late have been the same ol same ol.

i took our apartment contract to adam the other day to sign. i handed it to him and it felt like we were getting a divorce. weird. after two years living together it all feels like a divorce. through the good time and the bad...we never once killed each other. oh crap i fogot to bring his mail down again.

tying up loose ends while i can. currently i am in wichita trying to get going away presents taken care of while hanging out with family.

have you ever felt like you dont know someone anymore? the other day i was talking to someone i had not seen in a while and it felt like we were catching up at our 10 class reunion where you try to outdo each other with stories. things come and go i guess as do friendships.

ah....off to manhattan in 13 days. excited yes. scared yes dont want to leave...that is a fence i am sitting on. i will miss everyone but it is time for change. change is coming faster than expected.

adam moved out along with the tv and computer. so my apartment is pretty quiet. so quiet i finished a book in 2 days. but this also gives me the motivation to get out and work out. not that i really needed it.

oh my gosh. my parents house is so freaking hot. i need to move down about 2 stories to become a nice cool temperature again.

dont worry. i was doing a little experiment to see how long i could keep you all in anticipation for my next post.

only one final left and this year will be over. unfortunatly that final is not until 6:30 thursday night. sociology...how i have learned...so much? seriously, i loved the class, but mr. tymony tends to go off on rants (pretty much about white people being mean...which yes we are but dont blame me for tonys meth problem next door. i didnt do that) and then he is gone after spring break becuase he is in the hospital. the sub is okay but not as interesting.
my next class is in about an hour and yes we have a final in there but we are only going to watch our final project and call it good. i do not like my final project. the cake came out really bad but the camera angles are nice.

tomorrow i have james dutchers funeral to attend. incase you dont know, james, the kid i have known all my life, died in a motorcycle accident friday. if you want to know read my myspace. the jist is that there is the graveside serivce tomorrow at 2 at resthaven. then i come home and go to work. seems almost nonchalant "yeah i went to a funeral an hour ago. can i cash that check for you?" weird.

now i am focused on moving. my dad is throwing the curveball of "i do not want you to live with your aunt because it would not be a positive atmoshphere." alrighty daddy but where am i going to live and how much are you willing to pay? really i will be working full time and have friends up there to hang out with so it is not like i am constantly going to be hanging out at her house. geez.
along with moving comes the time to say goodbye to everyone. i think this year was better than last year when it came to making friends. some people i made very close bonds with. others stayed the same. i would not say i lost friends. i will miss everyone and i think they all know it. before this gets boring i will stop.

that is all i really have to say. i might go hang out at the school for a while before my next final. you know...last hooray in the studio before i am gone forever.

oh what a day! it is so nice outside. why am i not out in it? well because i thought "i am using tan in a bottle so i do not need to go outside. i would rather be in here doing this."

last night i was at work from 3-12. i was all ready to go thinking i would get out of there right on time. nope. turns out the 500 checks i had encoded did infact, not encode. so i had to rerun all the checks. did not get out of there until almost 1 this morning. so in lue of that, i literally rolled out of bed and went to class to take a test. brushed my teeth and was on my way. might i say, i do not look half bad this morning for getting only about 4 or 5 hours of sleep (even though i went to bed at 1 i did not fall asleep immediatly).

tongiht i have my sociology class. do not know if i want to go. i am really tired and mr. tymony is in the hospital so we will have a fill in teacher for the remainder of the semester. it will not be as much fun. mr. tymony is probably one of the more interesting people i have ever met. even though i do not agree with alot he says, i like to hear his opinion on certain things. and i am pretty sure he is the only one still talking about the decline of enron.

going to manhappenin' sunday. i have orientation on monday which reminds me i need to find my parking sticker. it is in adams room somewhere. let me look. cant find it. go figure. although i am not really looking hard. do not want to mess up adams already messy room. he might have it organized like this because he knows where everything is. highly doubtful. but i am excited to go whether i find the parking permit or not. i will just take some money and pay for parking i guess. speaking of money, not looking forward to filling up my car for that trip. it will take me a whole tank of gas to get there and back but even though that is a great deal, i feel like someone is stabbing me everytime i go to QT (probably not the best analogy given whath happened to the el do QT a few weeks ago).

last night a flood of compliments came my direction. two of my favorites were "you look well rested today." and "did anyone ever tell you you look like jennifer aniston?" i wonder if i look horrible on the days people don't say anything about being well rested. that is just strange to me. and the jennifer aniston thing i have heard a few other time which is really weird. now if only my vince vaughn would be a comin' some time soon that would be perfect.

finished catcher in the rye. once again i recommend it and i would read it again if i had nothing else to. next on the list is "the guide to getting it on." might sound a little weird because....it is. a book about sex and the like. look at it this way, it is good to expand your mind on different subjects. this just happens to be one of them. sonny did a review on it for the Emporia University newspaper and everyone else that read it said it was good. it is really big too. which that is probably not the phrasing that should be used for this particular book but that is how it is going to go.

welp i guess that is all. i am going to sleep/watch gilmore girls and shower.
