  • I'm having my McDonald's fave: a #4 (A Big and Tastey), with cheese, without pickles, with a Hi-C and a hot fudge sundae. No reason.  It's fun to go by there when Bambi's working. I take Peaches, and she stands on my lap so Bambi can pet her through the Drive-Thru window.  It amuses all of us...including whoever may be watching from inside. When I'm ready to go, Bambi tells Peaches to "get in the back," and Peaches does as she's told, spinning around me (my poor chest!) to jump into the back seat. She's such a smart dog.

Ruby's already begun moving back to town. I hope she's doing very little. (Knowing my Ruby, I don't think that's a problem, huh, Kiddo? hehehe)  I can't wait to watch Grey's Anatomy with her, again. We always have so much fun...during commercials... There is NO TALKING allowed during Grey's. It's just that kind of show. If I cry once during the show, I cry 3 or 4 times. Being hormonal doesn't help. I know I'm not the only one, so pft.

I really don't have much to say this evening. I've taken my handful of pills, so sleep will come sooner than later, I hope. I think the hormone pill is keeping me awake, though. I take 2 Somas, 2 Percocets, an Elavil, Lyrica, a water pill, sometimes Tramadol and 2 Tylenol PM's...and I still can't get to sleep quickly or stay asleep all night. Eh. I'll live.

If I don't die, first! LOL!

Okay. The pills haven't even kicked in yet.

  • Somthing I've known for awhile...

I don't know if many of you know, so I'm sharing. (I'm nice like that. )

There are only 4 gospels in the New Testament because "Irenaeus, the real founder of the Canon, was explicit in the matter: there are four quarters of the earth, four universal winds, and animals have four legs." (I borrowed the quote because I kept misspelling the guy's name. grrr) Or as someone else wrote: "Irenaeus the great Christian Bishop of Lyon in 180AD answered in a way which to us is not very persuasive. He said that the earth has four corners, there are four living creatures, there are four winds and there are four covenants. So there should be four gospels to match!"

(See those Four Winds? hehehehe Powerful stuff. )

Before I wasn't a Christian, I didn't even know the existence of other gospels. When I found out why only 4 used in the bible, I could only shake my head..."four corners." Irenaeus sounds like a truly enlightened creature.

Oh! Have you seen Zeitgeist the Movie? It contains a great deal of information I've stumbled upon in last few years. It's put together well. I know it's only an interpretation of information, but the conclusions it offers are noteworthy. The movie's long, full-length, so you may want to watch in sections or schedule some time for it. It's nothing if not thought-provoking.

    *****************************
On the homefront, all is well. Ruby's baby is due at the end of August. She'll have a C-section because the placenta is sitting on her cervix. She and her boyfriend will be moving back here next week. (They've been in another town...not far away, but with the price of gas...) It'll be good to have her nearby.

Dustin and Bambi are fine. They have friends over often, and I so dig the energy. It helps that the kids dig me, back.

My new job, preparing legal loan documents (among other things), is going well. I like working with the computer, and preparing the documents is like trying to solve a puzzle with pieces that can be trimmed, enlarged, recolored, etc. (The Loan Officers don't really know how to tell us what they want. It's a test of communication daily.) I like those kinds of puzzles. lol

My parents are considering moving away...and my sister and her husband will likely go with them. That'll be different. My parents have always had a Go Bug, so it's been nice having them close for the last 11 years. We are all very close, so it'll be a time of major adjustment for me. I'm good with it. (Although the little girl in me is already crying...)

I'm off to do housework and all that fun stuff. lol Have a great weekend!

  • The Kids

    011

    Dustin and Ruby

Ruby came by for a little while yesterday. I think she looks adorable with her baby bump.
She's 5 mos and 2 weeks along. She's starting to feel fat...especially since she gained 7lbs. in one month.
I've told her repeatedly that she'll lose that, once the baby comes...and that breastfeeding will help.

    5

    Here's our baby.

The doc says he's 95% sure we're having a girl.
Ruby wants to name her Lila. It's the name of a character in a book Ruby read in the 4th grade.
(She told me the book series, but I can't remember.)
No one can every say our girl is spineless! lol

Everything is moving right along here.  The new position at work is interesting and challenging without being too hard.
It's been a welcome thing in my life. And I adore my supervisor. After working for Pat, I have a much better
appreciation for a less aggressive boss.

I've got to get ready for work now.

  • 10 things you may not know about me...

1.) My first name means "Seven," among other things.
2.) My second name is most often a boy's name, although mine is spelled differently.
3.) My last name is Hispanic, from my second husband, and there are less than 700 people in the US with my last name.
4.) A stage performer once asked my name, and after I told him, he said, "What's your real name?" lol!
5.) I've been married and divorced twice.
6.) After knowing my husbands-to-be for 3 days, I told each of them, "You don't know this yet, but you're going to marry me." (#1 was terrified, #2 laughed)
7.) My first husband is my son's father. He lives in Texas with a woman who could be my cousin (she once could have passed for my sister, but age hasn't been as kind to her hahaha!)
8.) My second husband died nearly 5 years ago of an overdose. He was 38.
9.) When I was still with Hubby #2, I told him his lifestyle was killing him, and I wasn't going to be around to watch it happen. It did, and I wasn't.
10.)We'd been divorced 2.5 years, when Hubby #2 died. He still visits from time to time.

The anniversary of Mark's death is May 2. When I think of that, I'm reminded that I need to pay a visit to his 2 mom's...the one who bore him and the one who adopted and reared him (who's also his grandmother). To them, I'm family...and a link to Mark (I finally figured that out...duh). Mark's grandmother cries when she and I are alone, and I let her...I help her. She's already seen her husband and another of her sons off, to the other side, and she misses them soooo much. Her health has been failing for years, and I'm always there to comfort her. I let her know her men are waiting for her...they are just arm's length away...and as soon as she tires of this life, they will be there to greet her. She's told me she can still hear them in the house...they way they'd walk across her floors, their voices in her ear. She's always soothed and tormented by their visits because she misses them so much. She doesn't let her kids know how much she's in pain because they'd worry about her more, but it's okay when I'm there. I understand. For that reason, I do visit her, although not as often since her health has worsened. I know I'm a physical reminder of Mark, which is both good and bad for her.

I know when to see her.

    It'll be soon, again.

    I love you...GFW

About Me

  • I am called many things: Indigo/Crystal Elder, Lightworker, Neo-Pagan, Scorpio/Phoenix with Gemini Rising, Earth Angel, Dreamwalker, Bodhisattva, Communicator, Healer/Healer/Healer, both ENFP/Inspirer and INFP/Idealist (depending, of course)...and I am honored and humbled with each of these labels. I hold myself accountable and responsible for my life as I co-create my reality with The Divine through the manifestation of my intentions. I believe "What one does for Self, one does for the Whole; what one does for the Whole, one does for Self," and I strive to hold this ideal. I believe "All paths are sacred" and do not stand in judgment.
