This morning after all our chores had been done we had finished Bible and the kitchen was clean, I walked into the kitchen and Hammy was sitting at the bar. Just sitting there. which was surprising because he never just sits there. He looks at me and smiles say "Ashy? Ashy?"
"What little, Hammy?"
"Peanutbutter! Peanutbutter!" The he looks down at his lap and pulls up a jar of peanutbutter.
I gave him a spoon with a little bit of peanutbutter on it and he soon wanted more. He continued to hand me his spoon to put more peanut butter on it he looked at me smiled scrunched up his face and laughed. I suddenly realized this is a moment that would pass and may not happen again because before too long he will be old enough to get his own peanutbutter out of the jar without making a huge mess. (and yes he was a mess even with me helping him.) This thought brought tears to my eyes. Thinking at a time not too far from now he wont be little and he wont ask me to get his peanut butter for him. I am truly going to miss this part of life once it passes so I will cherish every moment I can.
Cherishing the moments:
