| I'm dreaming of a wHiTe ChRiStMaS... but it's not gonna come...so... i didn't get outta bed today until noon. I was in bed for about 10.5-11 hours. It was great. Went to lunch, and supposedly i was supposed to do carving. Well, no one told me, so therefore, it's not my fault. Andy (fat angry Jewish man) wasn't feliz conmigo. Woopsie... I came back to my room with intentions of studying and well- didn't get around to it till about 2:30. I studied in Shari's room, even though she wasn't there, to keep away as many distractions as possible. [ I love Shari. She's the sister i never had.  ]Around 4, Danielle came and her and I went to Wendy's. It was fun. We came to the conclusion that Danielle (Tubbs) wants a fat black man for a husband.... Ok- she clarified later on, not really, but it was quite funny at the time. As far as me-- well, ask if you wanna know,  . Her and I studied some for OTH, took a nap for about 40 minutes (yes, after i had slept all those hours) and went to dinner only to get something to drink.
Rachel, Chile, Kirsten, Danielle and I went Christmas Caroling around 8:20. It was quite fun. Two houses topped the list. There was a house with a little naked boy and the Mom grabbed a coat to wrap around him. Like- 3 or 4 other kids came to the door while we were singing. The house without kids, well- the lady was about excited as a little kid could be. Then when i went to alto for a section of the song her mouth dropped open and she was like-- "Harmony!!" and gave us thumbs up. All in all, it's been a good day. Needless to say... i now have to study for finals. Aren't you jealous??

| LA-DE-daWell... next week is finals... wow... crazy-- yes. This means that i'm pretty much finished my first semester at a college student. hmm... I'm def ready for break. I'd have to say the number one thing i'm going to miss is the Coal Mine. I love it with all my heart. I love the huge windows downstairs in the game room. I love the stairway, the gym, seeing your breath in the gym cause it's so cold, the meeting room, seeing the faces of a teen who has just gotten out in dodgeball, seeing the face of the person who just got out his opponent, the smiles toward each other, smiles at me, coats laying around the gym cause the kids got hot from playing, ............. do i need to continue? It's pretty much amazing. | | |
| Rainingingingingingso... the result of all the rain was that the main water line in town busted. We weren't supposed to drink the water, take a shower and other things. Mike decided to come home and well-- i wasn't gonna say no. I may be away from school physically, but def not mentally. I have so much reading to do... bleh... among going to see my friends, Thanksgiving, etc. A bit insane... and it really doesn't let up anytime soon. Once i get back the end of the semester and finals is right there, and for Christmas break... ok... actual Christmas, going to see friends, then my cruise, then a few days to get ready to go back to school for second semester.... woah... Tomorrow is Thanksgiving (yes i know-- thank you Cpt Obvious). Homefront is having a Thanksgiving breakfast from 8 till 10:30. I'm going to spend the night at my aunt and uncle's cause we need to be at Homefront around 7 so therefore we should leave around 6:15-30 or so... craziness... pretty much... anyway... I'm quite glad to be home from break. Well... i just thought i'd post something.... yepp... Daniella p.s. don't call your friends at midnight unless it's expected.... they don't like that.... | |

| well... just about a month in between updates... i'm doing well at this, really i am. I don't quite get how the people here at school manage their work, a social life, a job, and do well in their classes at going to bed at 2 AM and getting up for an 8 or 9 o'clock class. I don't do too much socializing here on campus, really. There are a handful of people to whom i make an effort to speak. ... Some people i wish i would connect with more, like ppl i started to talk to in the beginning, but oh well. Anyway... i'll crash my own pity party.
Kirsten, Steph, Jeremy, Stephen and I went sliding around yesterday in the mud and water while it was POURING down rain. It was quite amazing. Currently the town is under a water boil advisory. My West Civ teacher said we had 3 inches in like-- 5 hours... or 7. I can't remember which, lol.
There isn't anything death threatening for me to say.... Now, if i'd just tell you what's happening-- that'd take forever and a year. Thanksgiving break starts next Tues when classes are finished and classes begin again the following Tuesday. Less than a week... It's a few days away from campus but i'll def be still in school cause i have a junk load of reading to do. Yes, yes, i know i always have reading-- well, i do. Distractions are prevalent in my life and henceforth don't let me get too far during the times i decide to read. yah...
