| Sometimes you just don't know how good it is until it's goneThere have been multiple events in my life that have brought me to this cliche conclusion. However, since I rather not share my life on xanga.com, I'll share a couple of superficial examples instead, which actually were the examples that helped me integrate the deeper events with this conclusion. superficial ex 1: subway $3.99 Fresh Value meal. I complained that I couldn't choose my own sandwich. Now that the deal is gone, I have no sandwich combo for $3.99.
superficial ex 2: I used to complain that gas prices were at $2.00. Now they're at $3.00.
superficial ex 3: My iBook G4 doesn't have Intel Core2Duo 65nm processors, an LED screen, 120GB hard drive, silver aluminum casing, back-lit keyboard, magnet power cord, ability to boot Windows only when absolutely necessary, the word Pro engraved on it's casing, and an iSight camera built into display... but it sure beats having nothing and it does mostly everything I need it to do fairly quickly.
As superficial as my examples may be, I hope my observation of my own silliness brings you the same enlightenment it has brought upon my outlook in life. In other words, in many aspects of my life, I try to find fault and complain about the situations I'm in, when it could be much much worse.

| God's power revealedSo today my parents accepted Christ at church. PRAISE THE LORD! Initially, I kinda knew my mom would eventually convert, but God had other plans - my Dad became a believer as well... If you knew the conversations my parents and I had about religion, you would never believe my Dad would become a believer. And, in order to understand the magnitude of this miracle, you have to consider the fact that I don't have much influence on my parents. Shoot, I can't even convince my Dad to use a mac or buy Apple stock!! Afterall, I'm the son, they are the parents. Who am I to tell them what to believe? Anyway, I don't know what provoked the call to their hearts to be today. Afterall, I didn't do anything but pray and ask for prayers. It may have taken years, but that's all I did. God took care of everything regardless of me. God is real. God's power is real. God's plan and timing is perfect. Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.
