What a Wonderful World
By Louis Armstrong

So I went to the doctor today and I freaking LOVE my doctor, she is AWESOME!  She treated me with so much respect and answered any questions that I had.  PLUS, she agreed to refer me to see a plastic surgeon THIS MONDAY about getting a breast reduction!  The surgery I would not schedule until at least February, but I'm so super psyched!  And I'm totally not doing it for cosmetic reasons so please don't leave me any crap about loving the body that God gave me... I've had upper back pain for too frickin long!  I really am praying that it happens.  I think that I would not only feel better physically but also I think it would boost my confidence.  The gawks that I get from horny men just don't settle well with me.  Please pray also for me because I have to have a bunch of lab work done Monday morning b/c my doctor has some concerns with how things that I am struggling with, and have been for the past 8 years, have affected my health.  So, they are testing my thyroid, kidneys, heart (actually doing an EKG), testing for anemia, protein levels, and a bunch of other stuff.  Still struggling with stuff, but I am really trying to get back on track.  I've felt better emotionally and at work too which definitely helps.

Well, I need to get some shut eye.  Wish me luck on the reduction!

White Christmas

Well, its been a while since I've written.  I just never have the time nor the computer to update this thing :).  My life is a mess right now, so please pray for me.  I'm really struggling with some old demons that I thought I was done with.  I'm not going to put much info on my xanga, sorry, but just pray if you can.

Amidst all the chaos and trials I feel closer to God this week.  I think part of that comes from living in and getting to see how He works in the lives of my girls.  I love living in, I miss it a lot.  I wouldn't want to go back to living in for the simple fact that it gets exhausting, but doing it a few weeks at a time, I love.

I got really sick last Friday night and had a high temperature through Monday morning.  I went to the doctor on Saturday and she said it was either strep throat or a viral infection.  So they did a strep test and I never got the results so I guess that means its a viral infection.  I'm still coughing a ton and my throat hurts and I barely have a voice, but not bad body aches anymore.  I'm just ready for my body to fight off this infection!

Thanksgiving was nice, I spent it with my girls which was such a blessing, while I miss my family at Thanksgiving, I love spending it with my girls.  Its such a blessing to be a part of a sober holiday for them, for some of them its their first sober holiday ever, being that they were raised in alcoholic/addict families and picked up the disease.

Well, I'm getting a little sleepy and need to get some shut eye, so peace out.

I haven't updated in quite a while... just too busy I guess.  I went home for Madisyn & Dylan's birthday last week and had a really great time at home.  90% of the time I love my job and California, but I still get homesick a lot, and I've been out here a year.  There are times when I think it would just be so easy to pack up and go home, but I know thats the easy way out.  God brought me here for a reason, and as long as I feel Him calling me to stay out here I will.  I'm going home Dec. 22-28 for Christmas, so I'm really psyched about that.  Work is going better, I am feeling more adjusted into the senior role.  When I'm at work its easy to just dive into work and not really think about whats going on inside my head, it keeps me busy.  I know its not healthy to ignore my feelings, but for now its what I feel the need to do.  I miss my sisters a lot.  One found out at the beginning of October that she passed the bar exam (Aimee) and she has her 2nd interview with a law firm on Monday.  The other (Mandy), the one who got married this summer, just graduated from Cosmetology school yesterday.  I'm really proud of my sisters and I; all of us have pulled through the hard times and have good educations and have made the most of ourselves.  Its scary that all of my close friends and I are adults now.  The college days are over, some are married and having babies, we've stepped out into the real world which is really quite scary sometimes.  I miss the comfort of being a child, or even a young adult in college.  I'm completely independent now and there is no turning back.

This post was completely random, but just what was on my mind.  Gotta run, I'm dog-sitting for the weekend :).

Jagged Little Pill Acoustic

hey hey... whelp, not much has went on.  Its always the same thing... work, church, sleep, work, sleep, work and work.  But I love my job.  Its been a struggle lately with just feeling like I'm always climbing but never reaching, but thats my own perfectionism shining through :).  I am my own worst critic.

My Mom came out a few weeks ago, that was fun, good quality time.  Spent a day in San Fran, went to the Advent BBQ, and spent a day in Santa Cruz.  I enjoy my Mom, especially when we aren't living under the same roof.  Sometimes I am really jealous of my friends relationships with their Moms... I feel like we aren't that close... like I love her to death, but I can't TALK to her like my friends can with their moms and that hurts, and i'm sure it hurts her too.  But, either way, we had a good bonding time in cali.

not much else to write, i'm broke and need to come home in late oct and again for Christmas... yikes, moolah that i don't have!

peace out.
