just the other day i said goodbye to my parents. i've left them many times, but this time was entirely different. and the words were few. surprising for a family gifted with preachers and teachers.. but all i heard was 'live well' and i could only respond.. 'i will'.
it's been an emotional past few days... trying to settle in to our new home and my new life here in New Haven while being constantly reminded of the elements of life i've left behind.
bittersweet.
i really miss my parents. and the brother. and i keep fighting the urge to call them because i'm not sure what i'd say. i'm not a freakin kid at summer camp. i've left home before, gone farther... suck it up grotch, i tell myself and keep unpacking more boxes.

big thanks to bum and jacinda who have shared their pictures with us. i'll post some later, but for now just post the one that makes me the most happy.
