Sheit, people! Stop smoking weed and represent your school! You can make your Top Ramen and nachos later...or go hit up Fry street looking for some hippy festivities. Patchouli, hacky sack, and complete antipathy is the essence of UNT...nowhere else in Texas would people be introduced to the school song for the first time the day they graduated!

Normally I don't like to talk about myself, but I feel that nobody will read this so I have nothing to lose. I am currently a grad student in public administration. I got my undergrad degree in May of 2003 in Psychology. I am a liberal activist that likes sports, movies, and music (I like classic rock the best). I am really worried about the direction that this country is taking, so I would encourage everyone to get involved in their communities (that includes politics, sorry). What am I in the eyes of most people--a nonentity, an eccentric, or an unpleasant person--somebody who has no position in society and will never have; in short, the lowest of the low. All right, then--even if that were absolutely true, then I should one day like to show by my work what such an eccentric, such a nobody, has in his heart. That is my ambition, based less on resentment than on love in spite of everything, based more on a feeling of serenity than on passion. Though I am often in the depths of misery, there is still calmness, pure harmony and music inside me. I see paintings or drawings in the poorest cottages, in the dirtiest corners. And my mind is driven towards these things with an irresistible momentum.
