After studying and playing music full time for four years at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (with an awesome gig on the side as a UT cheerleader), I'm at Vanderbilt working on a biomedical engineering degree with a pre-med emphasis, and hope to become a surgeon one day. check out my blog, videos, and calendar at www.shaunkahler.com

Former music teacher and professional musician, now an attorney, with a practice that focuses on health care, corporations, labor & employment, real estate related matters, estate planning, probate, and not for profit organizations. Until recently, I was in house counsel for a large health care organization, now I'm on my own -- a "solo" practitioner. In my off hours, my passion is our church's kids' theater ministry, where I help write, produce, and act in our "Kids Church" productions. As my on-line name indicates, I am also a "dyed in the wool," passionate fan of the Chicago White Sox.

The Nonchalant Savant is pleased to inform you that large, black type in Trebuchet MS font are my words/opinions. Smaller, red type in Comic Sans MS font has been "acquired" elsewhere. Acknowledgment of this source material is purely contingent upon my whim, mood and random lunar cycles. This ain't the Washington Post, so I'm not going to lose sleep over pesky plagiarism issues. Life is too short. What You'll Find Here: Anything and everything that either amuses or annoys me. If it's trombone or cat related, there's a good chance it'll be breaking news here.
