Emergent & Postmodern Christians
This is a place for followers of the Way to come together and share our expressions of faith and reflection in an atmosphere of mutual respect and unity. We are emerging into the subcultures of our world and looking for fresh spirituality and the pursuit of the Truth. While we don't have the answers to everything we realize that nobody does either and desire to converse with one another to explore. Through our commitment to Christ we hope that principles of justice are displayed.

I don't Xanga much anymore. Check my blog, http://www.youngadultsindayton.wordpress.com, which is obsessively updated with articles, links, and other information I find interesting. No topic's really taboo; so far I've managed to hit on emerging theology, politics, activism, feminism, current events, globalization, eating disorders, a boy who's been stalking me at school, fantastic videos from my favorite French animation school, the dangers of Mark Driscoll, vintage Smokey the Bear commercials, the dumbest Cabbage Patch dolls I have ever seen, and Rick Astley. I also run a little e-shop, www.noisytarli.etsy.com, where I sell handmade goodies including but not limited to clothes, accessories, jewelry, toys, books, and pottery. -

I'm searching for the truth, I invite those who are also searching for the truth, to come along. -

I am loved by God. Realizing His great affection for me is my anchor, and something I am constantly learning about. I have the word "Beloved" tattooed on my wrist to serve as a constant reminder about what He thinks about me. I have been Jason's wife for 14 years. He was a pastor for 17 years, and is now a Bible college professor. We have 2 boys, Austin (12) and Ethan (11). They are handsome charming affectionate boys! Both have autism, Austin is high functioning, and Ethan is lower functioning. I work part time as a medical secretary in a brand new clinic for Bones and Joints. I love hearing other people's stories and sharing part of mine! -

Jesus did not teach that we should be striving to fit spiritual thinking and deeds into our secular lives. Rather, he taught that we should be walking a spiritual journey that happens to accomodate secular necessities. -

We pray because we realize that, at the core of who we are, we are incomplete. We have been created to be in touch not only with the natural, but with the supernatural. There is that longing for the divine. --Richard Peace -

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the age of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness," -Charles Dickens -
