I am a 45 year old cradle Catholic who loves Jesus and His Church. My life has been (and continues to be) profoundly influenced by the spirituality of St. Therese of Lisieux and her doctrine of "The Little Way". I was raised in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal, to which I owe a great deal of gratitude, but have really been more of a "traditional" Catholic over the years who is now returning to the Charismatic Renewal. I am committed to true ecumenism. I have had CFIDS (chronic fatigue immune dysfunction syndrome) and fibromyalgia for nearly 29 years. I remain hopeful for a cure and/or a miracle from God. The research community worldwide has been doing a phenomenal job! My life has also been profoundly influenced by the life, words, music, and ministry of the late Rich Mullins. My life's ministry is being a "Barnabas Lady" (a daughter of encouragement) and in general trying to be a cricket on the hearth.

I'm an old soul.

Sometimes life seems like a dream, especially when I look down and see that I forgot to put on my pants.

About me? Hmm, well I was homeschooled all the way through high school and I now attend community college. I adore children and I'm rather obsessed with the ministry of adoption and foster care. Five of my 11 siblings are adopted, and I usually have about three foster siblings at a time. I'm pursuing a degree in Social Worker, and hope to work in adoption & foster care till I can begin fostering and adopting my own children. I'm also passionate about disability ministry and will be traveling to Ghana in April of '08 with Wheels for the World. My blog is mostly full of my photography, siblings stories, adventures, and maybe a few deep thoughts.

Blessed by God, I have been chosen to experience his love purchased for me on the cross. And I can only wonder why.
