You probably are wondering about my screen name....knurlgurl. Well, it's a long story. It has something to do with my husband David's nickname from his friends...KNURL. If you don't know what a knurl is, email me. Anyway, when I was picking an IM name, I couldn't think of anything better, so KNURLGURL I became. I am a mother of 4 sweet children, Justin, Allison, Katelyn and Megan. My husband is David, and we've been married since July 1999. I love photography. I also love to play piano and sing. I am an avid reader, and I have tried my hand at writing. Added to that, I am an avid scrapbooker, and most recently, a homeschool mom.

Christ be with me, Christ within me, Christ behind me, Christ before me, Christ beside me, Christ to win me, Christ to comfort and restore me. Christ beneath me, Christ above me, Christ in quiet, and in danger, Christ in hearts of all that love me, Christ in mouth of friend and stranger.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. ~Marianne Williamson,

I am a student getting ready to start college. In the past I have: Been a tutor for orphans overseas, learned to judge a cheese's age by taste alone, fell down part of the Great Wall, earned an ESL certification, openly mocked Meat Loaf before realizing he wins at life, reviewed websites on an extremely pretentious blog, produced a podcast with several hundred listeners, destroyed said podcast by being an idiot, stayed perfectly healthy for a year and three months (and counting), been mocked for using Beijing Mandarin enunciation in Fuzhou, sold cheese to celebrities, signed an NDA about something I really want to tell you about, written 'perfect' Chinese characters as judged by a former teacher from Beijing University, unsuccessfully attempted not to enjoy Lego Star Wars, and broken five iPods.
