  • My Thyroid Is Broken (Or Gone) And Life Goes On

    This blogring is for those who either are living with a thyroid disorder/disease (hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, Graves, Hashimotos, etc.) or without a thyroid totally because of a thyroidectomy or other reasons. Life without a working thyroid is difficult but life goes on and we have to keep going and having a support system helps tremendously. So, as a thyroid cancer survivor living without a thyroid, I decided to start this blogring so that others can have a support system.

    I'm this goofy, silly, and slightly crazy "twenty-something" girl.. Seeking to walk with Jesus.. Living the life.. (I feel like I'm writing a personals ad here.. Ha.) Enjoy spending time with my family.. and friends.. and yes, my dogs too.. I'm a college kid on the seven year plan.. When I grow up, I really just want to be a superhero who flies around with my underwear on my head... The real man in my life is Jesus.. Read a lot, write a little.. Laugh a little.. I tend to be kind of spastic and really silly and yes, random, too. I use to be athletic in high school; I don't know what happened.. I have freakishly huge feet too.. And I have a pretty scar where my thyroid use to be.

    I'm a 36 year old mother of three boys, one of whom has a congenital heart defect called HLHS (hypoplastic left heart syndrome). Michael(10), Matthew(6) and Marcus(4) are the loves of my life, second only to my husband, of course. I work from home, number one, being a mom to my three wonderful boys and number two, typing my little fingers off as a transcriptionist...work I've found I really love! I work out almost every night. I am a Christian, night owl, avid reader, scrapbooker, and love to take pictures to preserve memories! Life keeps me busy and my relationship with the Lord keeps me going!
