Theology, sociology and psychology fascinate me. Why do we hold the views we do? -

If you can hold an intelligent conversation, I welcome clean feedback. If you find my content does not hold the excitement you seek, you are just a click away from something more vapid. It is my hope to provide something that #1 edifies; and #2 gives you reason for thought reprocessing or reprogramming; #3 is fodder for the soul. Find more of my "fodder for the soul" here: https://www.createspace.com/3342932. -

I am a Christian first and foremost. This means that I try to put God first in everything I do. Notice I said try, I'm far from perfect. For more about me, read my blog posts, and look at my interests. -

This site has been named “His Master’s Voice” in honor of a birthday present my wife gave me. The story of the name is this: Many years ago I found a replica of the old metal advertising sign featuring the RCA dog listening to a phonograph; it is entitled “His Master’s Voice.” I remarked to my wife that the sign reminded me of how we intently study the Bible, listening to "Our Master’s Voice.” My wife later presented me with a gift, a framed picture of a man studying his Bible, and it now hangs next to the RCA replica sign by my desk. She placed the words, "His Master's Voice" on the picture of the man studying his Bible. Finally, I am also the Site Manager for thefaithfulword.org website and principal photographer for lifetrekphotography.com freelance photography. -

I like mountains a lot, and I like to use my imagination. Lots of books, all kinds, are good friends. Camping, close encounters with large animals and strong storms. Being touched by God, changed, loved, drawn. Reading. Sharing with friends and making friends. Swimming in cold lakes, or jumping off cliffs. Climb a tree. Lay in the grass. Dream big dreams, and head there. Learn. Grow. Jump. Reading. Push ups at night. Walk in a graveyard or a golf course beneath moon or stars or rain. Hot shower, hot chocolate. Reading. Tea and coffee. Teaching, hoping, writing, adventure, "sorrowful, yet always rejoicing." -
