I love Jesus and I daily struggle with how to be the good news in the midst of countless voices, channels, and media outlets that are alive and thriving on the bad news. I am slowly sinking into the reality that perhaps I was meant to be a Methodist, especially in the way I have come to understand salvation: finished and yet in-progress. What you will find here are remnants of both realities, song and poetry and prose and questions and words that come from moments of completeness as well as from moments of brokenness. For a real adventure, start from the beginning (2004?) and read forward. You will find that God is ever hunting me down and daily calling me to grace. When I say, "I am a Christian" I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are all too visible, But God believes I'm worth it. Although the first goal of my journal is for me to record my thoughts, feelings, studies, and prayers, the next goal is to be a Christian that is 'real', allowing my life to be a fishbowl, so that those who don't know Christ can see that it's not in my own strength that I live my life. I live off of the daily infilling of the Holy Spirit, who Christ sent after He was crucified, raised from the dead, and ascended to heaven to sit at the right hand of God. So, the world still sees me as a sinner. Even though I'm a Christian, they focus on all the flaws even more. I'm here to let the world know that although I'm a sinner, I am saved, through Jesus Christ, from the wrath of God (Romans 5:9).
