A disorganized homemaker in word, thought and deed. This blog is one way to sort it all out! Living in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia my husband of 25 years and I have been blessed with four incredible kids, added to our family by the equally miraculous means of birth and adoption. God has been very generous with us in many ways, but mostly by the costly death of Christ on the cross which bought our redemption. We thank God for the power of the resurrection that gives us the great hope for an eternity with Him.

I am a native Virginian living in Georgia. The two states with the most arrogant and obnoxious home-state boosters are Texas and Virginia ... Virginians are just more gentlemanly about it. To be a Virginian, either by birth, marriage, adoption, or even on one's mother's side, is an introduction to any state in the union, a passport to any foreign country, and a benediction from the almighty God. I hope to go back home and dwell there again someday. :-)

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day. You shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense. - Emerson

Other hobbies are Reformed Christianity, Aviation, Medicine & Biomechanics, Guinness (the man & the beer), Tisane, the Caribbean, all things Celtic, all things Spain & France, the USA, the CSA (Confederate States of America), Professional Soccer, College Sports, Football (Soccer), Swimming, the Great Outdoors, Gastronomy, Ornithology, History, Political & Religious Reform, Reading, Music, and Travel. My musical taste runs the spectrum.

I know everything and nothing simultaneously. The greatest accomplishment in my life isn't anything I've done, but what God has done for me through sending his Son to die in place of my sins. I go for the path less taken, although probably not as often as I should. I have an unhealthy obsession with the opening of doors and whose job it is to do so. My favorite scent is rain in the desert, which they have not yet succeeded at bottling. I have a strange fascination with languages. I prefer driving stick. I am not afraid of death, but I am afraid of Las Cruces drivers.
