    Married, have one son, one dog. I love to knit and crochet. I love having my husband home. I enjoy planting flowers and long walks. I do like to read but mostly in the winter. I am on a new journey going down a new path. I have faith in myself that I will be victorious in my new life. There isn't too many second chances to regain your health and I will never abuse that miracle.

    I am a bookworm of the first degree and I love to write. My family and close friends are very important to me. I am a peace loving grandma that enjoys life more as each day passes. I am a survivor of domestic violence. I spent most of my adult life in a "religious" commune/"cult" and lived to tell about it. I am a native of Washington State, born in the Palouse Country of Eastern Washington. I migrated to the Pacific Northwest during the 70's and have been here ever since. I am happily married now, and I have six children and four grandchildren as of this writing.

    My wife and I are hot for Barack Obama, so my blogs have lately been monotonous and boring, unless you're into politics. But ... I have the equivalent of four full-time jobs, not counting Scrabble, at which I'm world-class but at least temporarily retired. My four jobs are: safety/security officer at a major hospital, and (the next three are nonpaying) keeping up with my younger wife Barbara, schmoozing with my Xanga subscribers, and making sure that Obama gets elected. I miss playing golf but my back and my wallet complain, so I don't play anymore. I miss being world-class at bridge and Scrabble but there's no time right now. I love most kinds of music -- esp. classical -- but I'm not too hep on the current popular scene. My tastes go back to the forties and fifties. I'm old. Somewhere between atheist and agnostic, but I do go to church regularly (Unitarian Universalist). I don't watch much TV anymore since I married Barbara. She hates the tube.
