"It seems unreal being back," he whispered in my ear and kissed me on the lips so lightly I thought I imagined it. We stood alone in the sand and looked across the water. It was night but the San Diego lights made the sky glow orange. It was in that moment all the unfamiliar love rushed back into my veins and I remembered who I was. I remember why I waited so long for him to come home. No matter what happens my heart will always stay faithful. I love my Marine.
