  • Christians Who Write

This is a blogring for Christians who aspire to write prose and poetry: memoirs, science fiction, tragedy, fantasy—you name it—with genuine artistry. If you mention "Jesus" in every other line of your writing, this is not your blogring. This a blogring for the aspiring Federick Buechner, Annie Dillards and Anne Lamotts among you. I'm not so sure about aspiring John Stotts or J. I. Packers, but if you want to be a Philip Yancey or C. S. Lewis, you're also quite welcome here!

I LIKE TO PROVOKE ...THOUGHT! What if truly understanding God isn't something done through intellectual cognition? What if knowing God comes through relational cognition? What if, Instead of figuring out Christ through one faculty, the intellect, we can only truly know and understand God though obeying His teachings?

Scribe. Warrior. Nerd. All of the above. Scribe - I am a writer. Story is my life. I graduated from TUFW with degree in professional writing so I could spend my life telling stories with my pen, my mouth, and my life. I believe in the power of story and that each of our lives are an epic that God is helping us write. Like C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien before me, I believe God speaks to humans through story. I hope my own stories can do the same. Warrior - Life is a battle, and I intend to keep fighting the good fight, as the Apostle Paul said. I will fight for my God, my friends and family, and my beliefs. I can be a loyal friend or a worst enemy. Thankfully, it takes a lot to get on my bad side. Nerd - I enjoy all things science fiction, fantasy, video games, comic books, etc. My mind is always entertaining "what if's" and other strange ideas. I've always known I wasn't normal (but then again, "normal" is a relative term).

I can be described as being a mother, a minister and a mental health clinician. I prefer being referred to as someone who only wants to do what pleases God. Recently I became serious to finish something God gave me to do 3 years ago: FITT (Faithful Instruction - Transforming Truth) for the Master's Use: A Temple Designed and Built by God

I am a first time mom of my sweet preemie Ian born at 29 weeks and 2 lbs. This blog is just about figuring out life after the NICU and raising my son. I also have just random thoughts and happenings to throw in from time to time. My husband is in the Navy.

I love Jesus, hanging out with friends, spontaneous people that like to have fun, laughing, music, reading, writing, hanging out at coffee shops, jazz, traveling, grilled cheese sandwiches, sleeping in, sunsets, praying, photography, painting (even though I'm no good at it) and DULUTH!! Its a sweet place and the lake is the best. I have 3 amazing brothers and love Spring Valley, where I grew up. God has surely blessed me with more than I could imagine.
