A man can no more diminish God's glory by refusing to worship Him than a lunatic can put out the sun by scribbling the word, 'darkness' on the walls of his cell. ~ C.S. Lewis -

My name is Lindsay. I am nothing. Christ is everything. That's my story. I'm sticking to it. -

At 6:19 a.m., March 9, 2004, I was a perfectly healthy 43-year-old wife and the mother of three beautiful daughters, aged 16, 14, and 11. At 6:20 a.m. that morning my life changed completely when I suffered a brainstem stroke and became Locked In. US medicine gave up on me, and had I stayed in the U.S., I would be dead. My family medically evacuated me to Guadalajara, Mexico, where I am being blessed with a remarkable recovery. I am still quadriplegic, but I can laugh, communicate via a spelling board, and love. My address here is Lorena Aguilar de Thomas, 159 Mazatlan Sur, Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico, 63000. I welcome your cards, letters, and emails. Please post comments on my blog to let me know if it is reaching folks and to help me keep a record of my journey for me, my family, and others. God bless us all. I'm Galen. I'm pretty simple: weird, Jesus-loving, music-loving, people-loving; deeply flawed but more deeply perfect through God's mercy. I want to live like the claims of Christ and those of the Bible about Him are absolutely true (as I believe), but often, my flesh gets in the way. Praise Him that this is not a static state of affairs. -

somewhere i have never travelled, gladly beyond any experience, your eyes have their silence: in your most frail gesture are things which enclose me, or which i cannot touch because they are too near. e. e. cummings
