Hey, this is Kelly and I am mum to Judith who was born November 2005, Gideon who was born April 2008, and #3 is due in December. David and I were married in August 2003. I mostly talk about my kids and my adventures as a somewhat hippie stay-at-home-mom, but may also include my crafting endeavours, recipes, cloth diaper infatuation, natural living stuff and spiritual journey. I am into attachment parenting, natural birthing, organic food, thrift shopping, tattoos, dreadlocks, justice issues and anything 'crunchy'. I am Canadian, but recently lived in Australia. Above all my life's mandate is to love God and love others, spread joy and demonstrate the grace Jesus freely gives. -

This year, or this month, or, more likely, this very day, we have failed to practise ourselves the kind of behaviour we expect from other people. -c.s. lewis -

I love to travel and to do the Lord's will, which seem to go hand in hand. I went to Prairie Bible College in Canada and then taught English for three years to Brazilian kids with Japanese ancestory in Japan. I learned Japanese and fluent Portugues. I am now getting ready to teach 5th grade in an international school in Brasilia, Brasil! I am super excited as this has been the desire of my heart for a long time. I know that God is going to use me there and I can't wait to see in what ways. I'm always waiting and wanting God's best for me. -

Married, Kid, 9-5 livin' the American Dream... I still ride little kid bikes and a skateboard. I don't wear a suite to work. I like reading authors like Henri Nouwen. I am pretty balanced, sometimes, and am conservative in most things. Jesus is the reason for it all. -

Give my mind dryness of a thousand books pressed closed in cedar cabinets, give my feet hot, scorched ground and my hands blue and pink cold snow brighter than the dark overcast to bury themselves in and I will stretch them upwards to give the gift in return. Give my eyes the the sharp contrast and blur of a world slowly waking up, and my arms the cool breeze in summer, the warm sun in winter. But give my heart rain. -

The more I give myself over to God, the more me I become. Paradoxical in the least. -
