I am a mother of three, recently diagnosed as being bipolar whose one great passion is Jesus Christ.

I married my husband, Jim, on January 4, 1985. I have six wonderful children whom I love dearly and am raising with my husband and the help of our Lord to be arrows for God's kingdom. My hobbies are scrapbooking, gardening, beading, and playing the piano. I also love to read books on history, saints of the past, the classics, and Christian living. I enjoy having music playing in our home and in the car at all times, my favorites being classical, bluegrass, hymns, and love songs in other languages. The dearest desire of my heart is to become more like my faithful Savior, Jesus Christ. The older I get, the more I realize how great a debt I owe to Him and I adore Him for paying that debt for me with His own precious blood. I love the hymn that ends, "Father of Jesus, Love Divine, what rapture it will be, prostrate before Thy throne to lie, and gaze and gaze on Thee!"

But the authority of the woman as help-meet is no less real than that of a prime minister to a king; the prime minister is not a slave because he is not king, nor is the woman a slave because she is not a man. The description of a virtuous woman, or a godly wife, in Proverbs 31:10-31 is not aof a helpless slave nor of a pretty parasite, but rather of a very competent wife, mannager, business-woman, and mother -a person of real authority. to explain the name, in case you were wondering-- it's about the recurring Scriptural theme of women crushing the heads of bad guys. generally it happens in the course of their normal domestic life. it makes me smile.
