I am a writer for the Kingsport-Times News and live in the Tri-Cities. I have a column called "The Go-to Gal," which deals with being young and living in the Tri-Cities. My column appears in the Go Tri-Cities magazine (in the Times-News) each Thursday. I'll be posting (with permission) my columns here, and I'm hoping you all will chat with me about what you think and what I should write about. -

Would I rather be feared or loved? Um... Easy, both. I want people to be afraid of how much they love me. -

I love writing stories and meeting interesting people and taking compelling pictures. I'm a May 2004 Milligan College graduate. I like weird movies (think Amelie or Chocolat or Memento), acoustic worship music and Ben and Jerry's Brownie Batter Ben ice cream (even though my dad says Ben and Jerry are raving liberals, they still make some darn good ice cream). My favorite TV show right now (and maybe for all time) is Monk. -

For it is by grace that [we] have been saved, through faith - and this is not from [ourselves], it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. ~Ephesians 2:8-10 -

MC class of '05... ETSU class of '08... and now I'm at UTMCK doing training for my CLS license. In other words... I'm a perpetual student. But my life is finally settling down somewhat, and I'm really excited to see what this year brings... -
