  • Loss Of A Parent To Cancer

Welcome and thank you for checking us out. I started the loss of a parent to cancer group in yahoo in 1999. A few years after I lost my mom to ovarian cancer. Over the years the group went from 1 member to 100. I found comfort in knowing that there were others out there who were feeling the way I did when I lost my mom. If you have lost a parent to cancer come check us out there are a lot of great people who post in the group. Please feel free to post your thoughts here. I will try to update it

Mama: como siempre te seguire escribiendo de mis aventuras. Creo que a donde estes te llegara mi carta y aun cuando no sea mas un pais lejano, cuando ya ese lugar no se encuentre en este mundo, yo se que me escuchas.

This xanga is how I'm trying to cope with the loss of my father, who biologically was my grandfather...so when I say Grandpa, I mean Dad. He wasn't a close Grandpa, he was my parent. My Grandma died 2 days after I turned 15 and I'm attempting to handle this death in a much healthier way.

I am a Navy wife, have been since July 2005 and I love my ET1 husband! My mother passed away from metastatic breast cancer January 16, 2007 and I am trying to learn how to go on right now. She fought for almost 7 years so I'm happy she's not in pain anymore but I miss her. My family is a huge part of who I am and I talk to my sister and dad almost daily. I'm currently working full time at a public hospital taking xrays and doing CT scans. I'm registered in both fields and working on finishing my bachelors in Radiography by December. I'm a Roman Catholic and my faith is a huge part of who I am. Any other questions...just ask! :)
